How to enable UDMA on NT4 on a K6-x system

I have NT4 installed on my system (AMD K6-3 400Mhz, 128Mb RAM, SOYO 5EHM mobo (VIA MVP3 chipset) Quantum Fireball EL 7. 6Gb has UDMA support)and I wonder if NT4 would benefit from the VIA 4in1 drivers (to enable UDMA33) for the VIA MVP3 chipset.

Big text in IE5 after explorer crash

I just had explorer crash in Win2k(first time in 2 months) and after restarting all the text in IE5 is 3x bigger than it should be. . its very annoying, cant find anywhere to change it. Any help please?.

Win2k and WD205AA+S1598s

I have a Tyan S1598s Mother board with ATA/66 onboard. I am thinking of trying to set up Win2k on my 20 gig WD205aa HDD. I would like to know if anyone has set up win2k on this setup? I tried it with my old motherboard and it would not go.

Cant defrag completely so I can resize partition

Ok heres my hardrive setup 2 gig fat drive c: This partition is active or the boot partition. It doesnt contain the os just the bootfiles and some backup data. Dont ask. 10 gig ntfs partition. Win2k is installed on this partition + everything else.

Mediaplayer doesn't work with TNT2

Hi! I just changed my G200 card to Asus TNT2 card. But now in Windows 2000 Mediaplayer goes blank if I try to move it's window when show windows contents is turned on. If I turn off Mediaplayers acceleration then it works fine, but it's so slow that I can't use it.

Win2000 driver for UMAX 1220P Scanner

I have seen elsewhere on this site that the only driver that works for this scanner in W2K is the 3. 52 driver. Where can it be found? I have looked at the UMAX US and European sites, and the latest driver is 3.

Hi there. . . I have Windows 2000 final, but I can't run RollerCoaster Tycoon under it. . . ? It installs fine, but then when launched says Sorry, not supported under Windows NT. I did a clean install of Win2000.

big problems with asus TNT 3.79 beta drivers

does anyone else have strange problems with the new 3. 79 beta nvidia drivers from asus? sometimes when i change resolution on my desktop or when i enter a game that switches display mode my palette becomes totaly screwed.

Hey, folks, I have a general question for you. . . I've been running Win2K Pro. on a 300MHz PII the last coupla weeks and, understandably, most of my games don't run as well (in terms of speed jerky frames 'n' whatnot) as they did under Win98/Win98SE.

Does anyone knows how to edit the start up programs under win2k? I know that using win98 you could just go to Accessories/systemtools then system information. Thanks in advance!!!.

I am planning on getting a new scsi controller and 10G or so hard drive for my Win2k system. But I don't want to spend too much on them, hopefully some like around $400 dollar or less. Any advice will be great.

Does anyone here know how to enable the Auto-Insert Notification on a CD-ROM drive in Windows 2000? In Win98, you could change that in the CD-ROM's Property in the Device Manager but there is no such option in Win2k's Device Manager.

sound out of 2 speakers with audio cds?

i have liveware 2000, and the cambridge 4 point speakers. When playing dvds in my dvd/cdrom, all 4 speakers work. When i just play an audio cd, only sound from the rear speakers. I have heard others with the problem.
