Every time I start up win2000 it assign my irq 10 to five different devices (two video-adapters, a soundcard, a tv-card, a network-adapter). It says there are no conflicts but when I try to play any sound or use the network adapter, win2000 stops responding.

Hello all, I have a small lan with 2 Win2k Pro machines, 3 Win98 machines (2 are laptops) and I just added a Linux box (just learning Linux, so I haven't gotten the NIC to work yet) and I have an iMac I would like to connect to the network.

FIC ka11 motherboard with Win2k???

Does anyone know of any issues with the FIC KA11 motherboard? Is there anything on this list that may cause problems. Here's my configuration: Celeron 366 PPGA @ 550 128MB Corsair PC133 ECC SDRAM Adaptec 2940AU ultra SCSI adapter for CD/DVD IBM DPTA371020 10.

Where can I find this compatbility patch? I looked on the win2k update site, to no avail. Could someone please give me a link or email it to me? Because I have a V3, and I cant stand playing Hl in 3dfx Mini GL, pnly Wicked GL.

Ok, I have lost my OS several times in 2000 and gave up, went to 98, and said yuk. I havent loaded any drivers other than the ones Windows loaded during install. I found in 98 if I loaded the VIA busmastering driver my data became corrupt in 2-3 days.

SB Live Value under Win2k am I hearing wrong?

Well I just replaced my AWE64 value isa card with an SBlive Value card and I installed liveware 3. 0 for win2k. Problem is I am really not impressed with the sound difference between the two cards. Maybe im hearing impaired or something.

Hard freeze with win2000

My computer seems to freeze at random times with no error log record. NT does not even know that something has happened. Mouse and keyboard stop responding. power off is the only fix. . . sd-11 athlon 600 256 ram geforce mx300.

JN6 is listed as not being compatible with W2K and I was wondering who to contact about information regarding any future plans to make it compatible. Is it up to the developer of the game or MS? Would really like to get this game running with 2K.

It seems that some batches of BP6 motherboards have a defective VTT voltage regulator which causes random lock-ups. You may want to have a look at for the full story, the serial numbers involved and a possible fix.

Just installed win2k dx8 beta. At first it DID NOT fix the problem. Upon closer examination through dxdiag I noticed that many of the dx files were not being replaced, such as dsound. dll and dinput.

Quake 3 and Need For Speed 5 are so so Crazy

Hey Guys, I have windows 2000 installed on my Computer. and i have Both Quake 3 and NFS5. NFS5 was working perfectly and it was even so much faster than when i ran it on Win98. But Quake 3 wasnt Running at all cos of the OPENGL drivers.

Hey, if you're a student, dont you know that it is possible to buy win2k at a great discount? At least that was what I did. Just a tip, not that i help your problem right now and of course even a little money can be tough to get, depending on your level of poorness.
