WIN2K, SBLIVE and Hauppauge WINTV

I`ve got a problem with my SBLIVE Card and its LINE IN. I've connected the HAUPPAUGE WINTV RADIO to it, but I only get sound from the rear OR the front speakers. When I play games like Diablo 2 or attach the cable to the mic in, both pair of speakers work fine.

Hey, Tomorrow(Monday the 28th), I'm going out to buy myself a Socket 370 CPU I have to decide between a CuMine 800(100mhz FSB), CuMine 800(133mhz FSB), or a Celeron2 600(66mhz FSB) which I'll try to overclock to 100FSB(making it 900mhz).

Device Manager Code 31?

Recently I've installed W2K service pack 1 on my machine. Now both the DVD and CDRW are inaccessable, and show an yellow exlamation point in the device manager (Code 31). The DVD and CDRW are on the second IDE channel; master & slave respectively.

I have a problem with my sblive! Player 1024 i think the problem is caused by the fact that the new drivers are WDM and are about as hardware accelerated as a ****e. It does it in live ware 1 and 3.

Boot Block Problem

The other day when I rebooted my computer after up some drivers, it refused to boot. It goes through the BIOS and POST fine, seems to detect my SCSI HD properly, then I get: Searching for boot record from SCSI.

ICQ ActiveList Server and Win2k!

Has anyone managed to get ICQ ActiveList Server working with Win2k properly? I've installed it and configured it fine, created my ActiveList (For my website). Then after a reboot, or closing the server, restarting the server causes an Error Log.

NTFS or FAT32 on WD 8.4 gig with one partition and only Win2

I read at tweak3d that NTFS would be faster especially on large partitions. Is there any bad points if I convert my current FAT32 win2k to NTFS? Do any games or programs have problems with it? Celeron 300a@464 on a Abit BH6 Rev 1.

Running a dual boot for WIN2k and WIN ME? I have win2k now, wondering if some games will run better /quicker/smoother in win me over win2k. Just curious if I should get a dual boot going, or if that is just a waste of space.

60 FPS in HL , no more, no less?

Just bought a 3d prophet 2 mx video card, and have the 6. 18 detonator 3 drivers running. WHen I play HL, i get 58-60 FPS constantly. This doesnt seem right. There isn't a lot of fluxuation, and it never goes above 60.

Hey-my warranty is gone. . and i'm bored. My compaq has no motherboard manual, so I can't do any hard jumper settings. . . so I'm looking for any software that can change my FSB and/ or my clock multiplier? WCPUid shows me as having a 498mhz with a 100mhz FSB PIII 500.

I'm using a Sound Blaster Live! Value in Win2k (2195). . . every thing is working exept by the Win2k driver that are terrible. . . sound quality is poor and things like. . . also I'm ick of trying to Install LiveWare 3!!! So i'll be waiting for Creative release of the drivers.

Is it OK to run PC133 memory with a 800MHz CPU with 100MHz core? I've been running the 800 on a P3B-F but just got some PC133 memory, so I'd like to use both in my ASUS P3V4X. Are there different issues with WIn2K & Win 98SE with doing this? I've heard several people ask if it's OK to run PC100 with a 100 core CPU, ...

Litestep Desktop Shell

I have seen some screenshots of the Litestep replacement shell for windows. It looks pretty good. I was interested in getting it, but i wanted to find out if anyone out there has had success with it in Windows 2k? Also which build or version would you recomend, since the litestep website lists several.
