XP + Ati Radeon= slow

Is it me or do anyone have the same problem games running on the ati radeon ddr vivo seems to be a lot slower than running on win2k. I thought XP should improve or gaming experience I guess it's a lie.

I have a 235w Power Supply running AMD Athlon 1. 2ghz on Windows 2000 Pro. When I'm doing straneous windows tasks within windows(file transfers, etc) my Computer freezes, no mouse movement, I see the mouse, and everything on the screen.

Zip Drives.... and the people who love them

I was just curious about something. I have a CDRW and zip at work , and I really hate zip drives. Why would anyone given the choice of a zip or a cd choose the zip. Anyway I dont like them. Wanna know what you think.

i've always kept my harddrives partitioned, mainly so that if something happened to my OS then i could do a clean install without having to format my whole harddrive. i've never had any problems with keeping it partitioned, but i've always been curious to performance.

This was just posted to the Creative Labs Audigy message board. - The driver update for Windows XP will be available from on Friday. (U. S. time) As with all. wdm drivers this release may also be used with Windows 2000.

Diablo 2 and Geforce 2 Ultra under XP...

I've tried three sets of NVidia's Detonator XP drivers, and get an absolute horrible FPS rate in Diablo 2 (10 fps at highest!!!). Even my voodoo 3 wasn't this bad. Any suggestions?.

I've formatted my drive C:, set the bios to recognise CD-rom at startup, reboot. The installation of Windows begins but locks up during setup. What is the problem? My system: Athlon 1-4 Ghz, Nvidia, 512 ram,40 MG hard drive.

Turning on status bar in IE6/XP

Anyone know how to permanently enable the status bar in IE6 on XP? There is an option to show it in the View menu but it reverts to not being on when you relaunch IE. . . Jon.

Hi, Has anyone got the Thrustmaster FF wheel working in XP Pro? I only have 98dvrs in the box (managed to find 2000 dvrs for USB), but would rather use serial connection if poss. Win XP will not install the wheel using the auto install.

monitor switches on/off when starting any game!

This is very anoying. There must be a way to prevent win2k/xp from turning the monitor off then back on when changing vid modes for games. I dont think its good for my monitor. Is there perhaps a registry option somewhere that can change this, or is it the display drivers? Thanks for any help.

Has any one got this scanner going in XP? I tried the W2K drivers and the interface says unable to load file, and the 95/95/ME/NT loads the interface but nothing happens, If I load the SCAN on COVER program it starts to work but them windows craps with a stop error.
