Wierd problem

Ok. . . . yesterday the fan on my Geforce card was making a grinding noise. I took the card out, removed the fan, cleaned it up a bit, put the fan back on and reinstalled the card. When I went to turn the computer back on, the hard drive lights and the CD-ROM drive came on and never shut back off.

please bear with me on this one- i installed win 2000 to use for a server for my home network of 6 computer and it works great in that capasity. the only problem i have with it is this- i can't get any video's to work and all pictures on web pages come across as a mess of colored static like pictures.

Whenever I access a file (open it, run it or uncompress it), XP Pro will have a copy of that file in \Documents and Settings\MyUserName\Local Settings\Temp The size of this folder keeps growing and growing.

Hello there. It's been ages since I installed Windows 2000 to a friend's computer. . . I set up all the needed accounts and such things - but the problem is that only Administrator account has administrative privileges, all others are just a normal users.

Hi ya, Urgently requesting info about the above subject hardware, their drivers and associated apps/software. I know for the fact that DirectCD (bundled with my HP 9150i CD-Writer) is NOT supported in WinXP, but any info on updates etc.

how often do you need to run checkdisk for winxp?

under WIN9X you needed to run scan disk every so often to keep things running good as well as defrag the hard drive, under WINXP with NTFS how often do i have to do both of these? thanx

i have 3 users in my pc (windows xp final) 2600. when i change the resolution in a user, i find the other users's resolution changed too. in another word when i log in any user and change the resolution i find all the users resolution change to the same resolution i made any help?? thnxx.
