Horribly slow file menus / start menu

Hey hey I've run into a bit of a problem. I'm running Windows XP 2600 with a fast computer (256MB Ram, 266 FSB 1. 2 Athlon) and it seems that all of my File menus on ANY application (any menus that are accesed with ALT, etc) are VERy, very slow.

Is NetMeeting avaliable for WindowsXP? On I found only versions for Windows 95, 98, Me and NT 4. 0. It says that Windows 2000 already have NetMeeting installed, I cant find it in XP so - what can I do? I really need it Thanks,.

I have huge problems with Win2000 and my Terratec 128 PCI soundcard. When I play Music on my Computer (e. g. with Winamp) the System freezes after approximately a few minutes. Sometimes it takes up to hours, but it always crashes.

XP pro / SB PCI64 - "scratchy" sound output?

Can anyone assist please? Upgraded from W98 to XP Pro, all devices in W98 were working ok. XP upgrade went ok except that now sound is distorted - sounds scratchy, kinda hi-pitched. All devices ok in Device manager, no conflicts.

I'm running Windows XP final, and I have a weird problem: When I play games which were made for DirectX 8 and up, everything works well. However, when I play a game that uses DirectX 7 or below, the graphics hang every few seconds, then they're smooth again, then hang.

Anyone seen this error before? I got this error with a timer ticking down (from 60 seconds I think) telling me Windows is gonna shut down & I better close all my stuff. Well I couldn't close anything 'cause Explorer.
