I cant get my 3com 509b isa card working in windows XP. 3com have not made any drivers and I cant find any in windows. Anyone have any tips?.

anyway to reinstall acpi. i've looked can't find anything that says how to do it. i've tried rolling back and restore point. didnt work for me. xp wont let me rollback the driver for acpi. .

Assistance needed with remote assistace

I need some help with remote assistace. I cant seem to get it working with my dad. I had it working with another friend of mine but now it is not. I changed some services since the last time I tried, but i cant remember what services I changed and I cant find any that seem to fit remote assistance.

Dual boot, NT4.0 over win2k?

I installed win2000 on a system with nt4 to create a dual boot, and that worked fine. Now I need to install NT4 on a win2k pc to make a dual boot system. Since nt4 is older, will it still work or do I have to manually modify the win2000 boot.

hello all I'm trying to do unattended installation. I didn't have problem doing it off the CD but i am having problem doing it over the network. I have a server that has the distribution share and my other PC connects to it and i ran \\my2000\2000\winnt.

i am going to be buying a scsi hard drive very soon and i was wondering what ur opions are i am looking at getting either an ibm ultrastar 10000 rpm scsi or a segate cheeta 10000 rpm scsi. they are both around the same price so i was wondering which one would be more reliable long lasting etc.

Alright, I posted this in the NT4 area (oops) so i'll repost here. . . I have a quickcam VC Parrallel port version (The USB oen will be here tommorrow and will work with less problems *hopes*). . . XP knows its there, but i cant get the software to install right.

Greetings, Anyone recommend a good VCD player for Windows XP ? I tried Media player. . . but I don't think it allows me to select left / right Audio. . becasue some VCDs comes with 2 languages and requires me to select left or right or else both will be play at once.

I am running windows 98 and windows 2000 on two different drives. Everytime I try to install drivers from my floppy disk and the linksys website I get the error message in the wizard: The style of the INF is different than what was requested.

I have found out that i need a terminator and an 80 pin to 68 pin adaptor to hook up my new scsi drive (refer to post: ) However i am unsure of what type of terminator to buy and where to buy it from.

Yo, where is my command prompt?

What has Microsoft done with the command prompt? I STILL like to use a command line interface at times for things, and though MS is merging both Windows families in winXP (though even 9x had a DOS prompt), the entry on my start menu for the command prompt present in win2k, and winXP up through RC1 seems gone.

I can't seem to find this program anywhere. I have a registry entry for it, but no program. The tweakguides talk about this program. Does anyone know how to find it or activeate it? I tried run. I also looked on my upgrade CD, no luck.

Printing from XP Pro to NT Server

I have a home network running NT4. MY Espon printer is connected to the server locally and is shared. My Win2K box prints to the Epson no problem using the NT4 drivers and Win98 drivers (I foret which it is actually using).

Hard drive question

I have 2 hard drives in my system. One is NTFS, the other if FAT32. If I boot to a Win98 boot disk, I should be able to see the FAT32 drive, right? Right now, that doesn't work and I can't figure out why.

Connection to Internet goes dead

Hope someone can help me on this. I'm using Win 2k. At any unspecific time, my (tcp/ip) connection to the internet goes dead, however the modem remains connected. This happens just at any time, but usually only once or twice a day.
