I'm having a problem installing NT4. I have Windows 98 installed to a 2. 5 gig fat32 partition, and I have 600 megs of empty space I'd like to put NT on(just going to experiment so I don't need to much space), but I have a problem.

OK, sometimes Microsoft software has a tendency to get a little too smart for it's own good. AKA if MS Word goes to auto-correct the spelling of someone's last name; producing some documentation (this happened to me once), putting some pseudo code into the document, and it gripes about C++ not being English, etc.

Strange thing. . . my computer keeps changing the speaker settings in Control Panel/Sounds & Audio Devices/Advanced from Quadrophonic Speakers (see my specs below) to Stereo Desktop Speakers. This happens usually with Winamp 2.

AH! I can't believe this! I just bought a All-in-wonder 128 PCI from my friend because my Voodoo3 had crappy support under Win XP (as of last week). So I go install the new xp drivers. . . and my computer will not boot up in normal mode.

If you have an account on your computer that you never use (eg an account set up so someone can access the computer from the network) and you are fed up of it cluttering up the log in screen, simply goto Local policy editor and do not allow the user to log on locally.

greetings , Everytime I run D2/X there seem to be a colour disortion. The in game graphics are blury and the text is blacked out. . its not gold anymore. . anyone encouter this problem ? I have the latest drivers for my hardwares K7-900 mhz SBlive Geforce 2 GTS running 22.

OK, through the entire beta this has been, well rather annoying. How does one disable auto-insert notification and drive inventorying in Windows XP. In Windows 2000, there was an option to do this in the Computer Management Council under removable storage.

guys. . just wondering why XP did not show in device manager that ACPI installed? but instead MPS (Multi-Processor System). Yes my mobo is a multi-processor capable but I only use 1 CPU. And I think this is the cause why XP will not shut-off my box! My is a dual boot XP/98.

Hi gents, Hopefully this should clarify my prob. Setup: Basic Single NT4 DOMAIN with 1 PDC and around 150 win95 clients. Our DOMAIN is called DOMAIN (Original i know). When i say workgroup i mean for example the groups shown within network neighbourhood on a win95 box.
