Hi there, I have a anoying issue. I disabled the startup sound so I won`t have to listen to the anoying tune at startup but still I get one. I guess that this may be caused by the Audigy software but I have no idea where/how to disable it.

I finally installed WinXP Pro on my main workstation at home, and I must say that I am surprised by its speed. Now, I do have a question regarding performance improvements in games. I just ran my normal Q3 check, and using the demo in release 1.

I am trying to figure out why my Yamaha Burner isn't list with recording capabilities. Fresh install, after UPS configuring killed OS, loaded again, and now the Yamaha Burner isn't listed with Recording capabilities, it was and I burned CD's in the last load, what to do? 5th load of XP, I am tired, any help? Ned.

Voodoo 2 problems and questions

Hi all, I installed the drivers provided by , to get my Voodoo 2 card to work. There was a Genport i/o error which I suppose is causing my other problems. After restarting XP, the Device Manager had an entry for my 3D Voodoo card and reported it working correctly.

Reason doesn't load. Tells me it can't open Rewire system and then dies. I've tried the whole Rewire fix file thing and doesn't help. Has anyone got this working?.

Hi! I've been having some wierd problems with my Toshiba SD-M 1212 DVD drive. The symptons are that the drive keeps ejecting the tray when I try to put a CD-R , -ROM , DVD-ROM or whatever media into it and the drive leaves the drive bay open it won't close the tray ,in other words the DVD drive is unusable.

Ok, like I said I am having Java problems with my XP. I say XP becasue all of my browsers (ie6, opera 5. 12, netscape 6. 2) have the same problem, they even run different Java environments. The IE is running 1.

Hi, Is there a way to quickly reboot using the keyboard in WinXP? When I wanted to restart in WinME, I just hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice. But it doesn't work in XP. Any ideas? Thanks. Brad.

Hey. I tried the site that was listed in NTCompatible's news, where there were a tutorial for making WinXP logon screens. The URL was The site isn't there anymore though. Angelfire probably removed it when it started getting alot of hits.
