Comanche4 and XP Problems

I just put Comanch4 on my XP Box. It works but runs really crappy. It is choppy and really hard to play. My system is an XP 1700+ with 512 2400 ddr and a radeon 8500. Latest drivers for the radeon, latestdrivers for my via chipset, latest updates for XP pro.

I am thinking of taking advantage of the increased speed of a software raid array, with the help of converting to dynamic disks (through Computer Management/Disk Management in Administration Tools). My 2 hdds run at udma4 under winXP pro, the first one is a Maxtor 30Gb and the second one is a Quantum AS 40Gb.

Hi, Can anyone help me please: I have a Toshiba laptop running Win 2000. I have been unable to dial up an ISP. When I try to connect, the ISP accepts my username and password, but then tells me that no compatible protocol can be found.

Hi! I've tried to install my graphics card in W2K SP1 the native drivers won't work i've also tried the latest drivers from Nvidia but the same problem. It works fine with W98 on the same computer.

I installed XP everthing works ok (the sound pops and crackles a bit??)but i cant seem to get my tekram DC-315/U scsi to work, XP knows its there but says the driver is not compatible or need to be updated of something.

For some strange reason when XP prof starts up the tray icons are populated but if I go into control panel and click on system it dosn't start for a number of minutes. This appears to happen with all system related progs.

I've been trying to get Quake 3 to work in SMP mode since upgrading to two processors, but the game insists on crashing(usually before it even gets to the menu. I use the latest NVidia detonator drivers for the video card, which is a GF2 GTS(Elsa Gladiac).
