need help and suggestions

I have a cable modem that connects me to the internet. I am planing to buy a hub in order to connect 3 computers together and share the internet connection. I know that an easy way was to create a network with BNC cables, but two of the computers are laptops and their PCMCIA cards take only UTP cables.

I was wondering if anyone has both the new 23. 11 and the 1. 08 WDM capture drivers installed, and whether or not the capturing works in windows 2000? and if so in what programs do the capturing work? expecially would like to hear from people who have the same vid card as i do Asus v7700 delux.

Nvidia Win2K refresh fix screw my monitor?

I have never had a problem with this utility before. But I just ran the Nvidia Win2K refresh fix on an older Samsung Syncmaster 550s monitor (I made the registry backup on the hard disk). Now when I boot the machine (& I will be doing this physically soon), I can't load windows.

I am running win2000 with an asus tnt2 ultra agp video card and a matrox pci video card with 2 monitors. I want the monitors to turn off after 20 mins of inactivity. I have set this in the power options, but only one monitor turns off (the one connected to the matrox card).

Speedisk won't install

having trouble installing speedisk from norton utilities 2002. i've tried using the nu installer or running the setup program directly from the sdnt directory. the installshield progress bar pops up, goes to 100% then disappears, then nothing happens.

I have 3 computers 2 with Win ME the other has XP. the xp computer cant connect to the ME computers for games. If i host a game on XP the other computers can see the game but freeze whan i hit join. any ideas?.

Is there anyway to recover the Administrator password, I made the terrible mistake of not writing or memorizing that. Also can I put the administrator login in the normal boot, instead of apearing only when booting in safe mode? Thanks to anyone, really need help on this.

I've had absolutely no problems with any version of SystemWorks on any platform. 2002 is running sweet as a nut on my XP system. It can take a while to figure out where some of the settings are as it's quite different to 2001.

I was wondering if it is possbile to make WinXP shutdown my computer faster? Because right now it takes like 45 seconds to a minute to shutdown my computer. If I remembered correctly, when I had my WinXP installed fresh, it didn't take this long.

I finally got Windows XP and 2000 to enable DMA for my CD-ROMs. In Win9x all you have to is check DMA, in Win2k/XP you have to ensure that DMA if Available is selected, however, some of us VIA users still get PIO modes even with this on.

The best performing dets are still 12. 90(dx) but in opengl 1080 kill every other driver, can you or can you not mix these two. .
