I use my box primarily as a DAW. In win2k I have ZERO problems recording but I want (and expect) to be able to use XP the same way. When I record via ANYTHING in XP I have pops, static and noise galore.

multiple hard drives

i dont know a whole lot about computers. i just installed a new 40gig hard drive and formatted and i am now running windows 2000 on it. i still have the old hard drive from the computer sitting in the slot.

What do at Creative think of us? These drivers are the 30% of the drx3-users working drivers of Sigma Designs, defaced to appear Creative's product!! These drivers are giving me a BSOD with DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL in rmquasar.

Ok here's the problem, I just put 512 Meg in my machine, and now it's acting like I only have 64, my applications are lagging, everything is acting like it takes five minutes to think about it before it does anything.

I just did a long format of my hd installing NTFS. I have the official Asus A7V 1009 bios, and my mobo is PCB revision 1. 02 and I've now installed the 1009X/FXD (temp fix) bios from braziliantech and enabled the CPU IDLE feature in the bios.

If you are experiencing a slow network while running Windows Me then all you have to do is: install the protocol Internet Connection Sharing in WinME. To do this go into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup Choose to install Internet Connection Setting.

i have the corsair pc100 w/ecc registered 256mb stick. Im wanting to upgrade my memory and my question is do i need to get another stick that is w/ecc and registered? I've tried another brand that was pc100 but wasn't w/ecc nor registered and it didn't work.

keyboard not responding after install !!!

hey. . i installed win xp pro and during the installation everything was fine and of course the keyboard functioned. after the final boot windows starts up,asks me to put in a user name. . . but my keyboard does not responde.

2nd harddrive not listed in my computer

a friend of mine has 2 harddrives both plugged on a ATA100 controller on a msi motherboard. In windows 2000 and xp only the first 30 gig drive is showed, not the 10 gig one. The only thing we found to make it visible was going to computer management and make it a dinamic disk.

I have a question and not sure where to go anymore for help. . . . I went to XP and my video card is not strong enough for it. I need to invest in a new one snd not quite sure what to get. Have been to all the stores and all they want to do is sell me an AGP and I have to have a PCI card.

Hi Group, I've installed SETI@Home here at work, but as I'm not the only one to use this computer, I would like to stop SETI@Home from starting up along with the rest of the computer - how do I do that ?? Isn't there a MsConfig-feature in W2K as there is in Win98 ???.

NT 4.0 and XP printer sharing with HP6L

We have an HP6L connected to an XP machine and all the 98 machines will print to it. However the NT machine will not connect. If the printer is connected to the NT machines all 98 machines will print to it but the XP machines will not.
