XP and Imaging?

Does XP have a imaging program like the other windows operating systems? I have a scanner that has no software to run it. The drivers are in and it works fine, but without the photo imaging program like in win/2k, I can't use it.

Norton Speed Disk or Diskeeper?

Hi everyone. I was trying both programs on win2k and now on winXP and came to some conclusions. As always speed disk takes ages to complete, while diskeeper only a few minutes. Speed disk optimises the virtual memory by putting it in the beggining of the drive, while DK doesn't.

well everything workls except when i do the Sound Hardware Test Wizard inthe Voice Tab under the Sound and Audio Properties. When I run it it says my computer's sound hardware: Playback: SB Audidy Audio Recording: SB Audidy Audio then when i click next it says: Your sound hardware cannot play sounds.

Need software utility for parallel 2 IDE device

I'm looking for a software utility that will work with a parallel to IDE device. I found the correct drivers for the device and it was installed as SCM PPort HD adapter. The device is working normally under Win2000, but I can't access the HDD plugged into it.

Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issues with IE6 and NT 4. 0? I was up my IE5 to 6 and try to print a web page. The printer server went BSOD and screen dump. This is not a coincident because I actually try it and look at the server.

This may be a dumb question, but i just stumbled on this this program. . i was kinda bored, and trying to find my cluster size, used chkdsk (forgot in win2k its diff from dos), like i said bored, half-asleep, started throwing random command names at it, and i threw cluster and it returned all this.

Is there any awy to use WMP8 in Win2k? XP has been giving me too many issues so I have gone back to win2k. DivX movies ran better in XP though, and I trying to figure out if WMP8 or XP itself was the cause.

Do you think Win2k will ever get a fourth service pack. Lets place bets now. I think Win2k is pretty stable now at SP2. So I think SP3 could be the last. .
