Hi I've been running my latest install of XP pro for quite sometime now with little trouble (Apart from the Infinite Loop thing and some other small things). But today I thought I would have a play with the Group Policy settings and so I tried to open gpedit.

I recently reformated/reinstalled winxp. I am not sure if I didnt configure somthing right. I put Adobe Photoshop 6. 0 on, then dl'ed the 6. 0. 1 update, and tried to run the setup, and i get an error Cannont find file setup.

I've tried several of the XP drivers for my Voodoo 3 3000. When I try to boot up Unreal Tournament, I keep getting a critical error message - General Protection Fault. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?.

Hi im having a big problem with thumbsplus 4. 50 (build 2041) When im connected to the internet and i have thumbsplus running my comp will freeze up at random when it freezes i have to physicly restart my comp.

cd burning question & xp+burners=incompatibilities

do i enable imapi something(default burning software found in xp) when i have nero(it seems nero cant burn wmp format without errors) & clone cd. i instaled burners fix found on win update(before fix i managed to scrap couple of cd's).

Well, I got used to Win2k's taskbar. If you have 50 windows open, it just crams every single one of them into the space you have allocated. Now, Winxp throws in the little 'up/down' arrow. Will someone tell me how to get rid of the arrows, and go back to the Nt5.

Carmageddon TDR2000 problem

I am having a problem with Carmageddon TDR2000. When ever I try to set a display mode other than 640x480 or 800x600 the game fails to load and bombs out with the error FAILED: finddisplaymode The game plays fine in 640x480 and 800x600 in both 16 and 32bit modes.

OK, so does anybody here know how to work around the Flanker 2. 0 problem? Let me explain. . . I have an excellent PC, all the requirements meet or exceed the game's specs. But it will always kick me back to the desktop after the introduction movie.

This is extremely irritating. Often when I try to install new programs, Rundll is trying to access the net, and Norton pops up with that stupid message. Well, I am not stupid (Which Microsoft obviously thinks), and do not need all that automatic Crap.

I am trying to get LAPD futurecop to run with windows XP. It installs fine, but when I try to play it ask for the cd to be inserted. The cd is in however. I have tried running it using the win 9x compatibility modes but without sucess.

I saw on the compatibility section that there's a trick to install the Need for Speed 4: High Stakes Demo. Does the same trick can be applied for Need for Speed 4: High Stakes under Windows 2000 Professional ? Has someone done this ? Is there any risks ?.
