I have a file, data. bak that's used by MS Office XP. I need to find a way to make that one of those protected system files, so it won't get deleted by another program I use to clear up registry entries and useless files(EasyClean, to be precise).

OK, is this the worst idea they could come up with, or what? The idea of using Flash RAM in an audio player is that it is solid state. That means that, since there are no moving parts, getting bumped or moved will not cause the music to skip.

In win2k using IE 6. 0 there was an option for related pages to get webpages that are similar to the current one you are on. . . this seems to be gone in XP. . . is there a way to get it back without installing all that **** software?.

Hello, I was using my brother's computer last night and while recording a CD with Nero (5. 564), I got this blue screen and I had to press reset to restart the comp. I only get this blue screen while using recording a CD.

I've changed my monitor to run at 120 Hz in 640x480 (highest safe Hz according to the manual), yet when I run UT at the same resolution, the monitor goes back to 70 hz (as the UT screen image fills the whole screen (I hadn't resized 120 Hz to do so), and as the FPS peak at 70).

Got Mig Alley working in Win2000, with a hitch. It detects my Logitech Wingman Force 3D, in the control screen, where it's bound to flight, rudder, and throttle control. It doesn't allow me to disable it (if that means anything, I don't know).

Used the trial version of WinWasher once or twice over the 30-day trial period. Appears to be a nice program. Didn't use it enough, however, to determine if I wanted to spend $30 for the complete package, so I tried to uninstall then reinstalled the demo.

Hey guys. . . Here's the deal. . . I'm running Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Using IIS for the websites and FTP sites. I have 2 websites, and 2 FTP sites. On the default/primary website, I can assign a specific IP to the website as long as that IP is the main IP specified in the network settings.
