Boot from USB 2.0 CDRW ?

Is it possible to boot the pc from a USB 2. 0 CDRW ? Am thinking of buying a Plextor PleXWriter 24/10/40U. I guess it depends on the motherboard BIOS ?.

Visual Style doesn't apply

Hi Guys, I can't seem to get other visual styles downloaded off the internet to work. When I apply them, they just turn the screen black and then i have to somehow revert back to the default Luna Visual Style.

Hi The last days Hotmail and Messenger has started to bug me about some. net passport certificate being to old or expired. I get this window everytime I enter Hotmail or messenger: Is there a way to remove this? Either get a new certificate or just stop bugging me about them.

I am trying to get 3 video cards to work with xp at the same time. . . I cannot get it to work. When I boot with all three vid cards, one of them disappears from the device manager. I am using 2 PCI and one AGP.

SB Pro under Win2k

I've got a SB Pro 2 (CT1600) card, and I'm having problems getting Win2k to recognise it. Win2k does detect it as an unknown Multimedia Controller, but I can't progress from there. I've downloaded a number of different drivers (mostly DOS drivers) and even NT3.

after having upgraded to win 2k I have discovered that my sound card (aztech pci288 q3d) is not supported & doesn't work. The aztech site states use the win default driver. i have tried all the likely drivers but to no avail , help, please! pete.

Quality CD rom drive ??

Hey guys, I have bought 3 Mitsumi CDroms in less than a year. So I have come to the conclusion that Mitsumi CDrom drives are total junk. With that said, who makes a good quality CDrom drive ?? It has to be IDE, so please, no SCSI recommendations.

OK - I've decided it's time to update my PC speakers from the 2 poxy little things that sit beside my monitor. So what do you guys use? Any recommendations. Cost not so much of an issue - I'd rather pay decent money for something that sounds good and lasts a few years rather than go the cheap and cr@ppy route.

Currently I am running both Win98 and Win2000 on my computer. I have 2 Maxtor HDD installed which are both udma compliant. In Win98, both harddrives are recognized as udma and I get good transfer rates with both.
