I see it as an option when I am selecting files for a backup, and I would like to delete these folders. I have turned off the option to hide files/folders. How else can I find them?.

i have a problem with my burner in XP. I have a plextor 8x4x32 and from whta I've been told this burner is compatible with XP, but I cant get it to work. Actually, if I burn files with explorer it works, but if i try nero, easy cd, or even media player it won't work.

hi i have a problem i just installed windows 2000 and my current video card (Nvidia tnt model 64) just is not working. i instaled teh new detonators the main problem is that i cant change my resolution past 800 by 600 and teh color is 16 and will not change.

Loading order in systray ?

Does anyone know why resident progs. do not load always in the same order in the system tray, and if there is a way to set a special order (for example: AVP, Messenger, sound card, and so on. . . ) ??? Thanx for any welcome hint !.

adding second CPU

hello everyone curantly running 1 cpu in an abit vp6 (cyrix c3) and will be upgrading to 2-1Ghz intel's in mouth or so. will xp see and use the other cpu when the upgrade happens or will i have to reinstall the os again? the activation code is the hassle not the install.

Anyone else using XP that can't seem to get rid of the read-only attrib on files? I uncheck it, hit apply, and open up the properties again, and it's still there. Even the command line 'attrib -r-a-s-h *.

hey. . . i recently installed win xp on a friends computer with a nvidia TNT video card. he is currently using the microsoft's windows update driver,and some games that should work don't. (Fifa 2000 crashes immediately,Soldier of fortune is thrown back to the desktop.

chkdsk keeps reporting errors

When i run a chkdsk from within windows xp it tells me there are errors in the volume bitmap and other errors it cannot fix in read-only mode. Then i run chkdsk /f and reboot andlet it do its work. But then back in windows when i run chkdsk i still get errors.

Unfortunately, the Bios ONLY supports up to 8. 4GB, and the only way to utilize my 12GB drive would be to run it through the Quantum Disk Manager! Note: Even IF I set up the BIOS to use the drive as an 8.
