Strange pause/stutter problem in XP Pro!

Hi, Im having a problem where Win XP Pro seems to stutter at regular 1 second intervals. At first I thought it was just with 3D graphics in games but, I later noticed it happening while scrolling down a window in internet explorer.

AOL on NT in the UK - help please!

I have a PC at home and another at work. No problem at home as I use win 95 but at work it is NT. AOL is not supported in the UK on NT. However, as a previous beta tester for AOL 6 I found that the AOL 6 BETA did work on NT quite well.

NortonAV2000 v. 6.0 stops scanning at 16%

For no apparent reason, Norton Anti-Virus 2000 version 6. 0 will stop at 16% of completion no matter what I do. Win2000Pro's error report simply says, NAVWNT. EXE is no longer running. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice with no change.

Asus NForce Motherboard Question

Does anyone know whether or not the Asus A7N266-C motherboard has the same overclocking features of the A7N266-E? Specifically, does the C have a fixed PCI bus speed like the E along with the ability to vary CPU, I/O, Memeory voltages and Front Side Bus and Memory Bus speeds? Thanx in advance.

I can only get my Scanjet 3300c to work as the Administrator on my Windows 2000 machine. If I login as another user and try to use the Hp Precision Scan Lt software I get the following errors. There is a problem with the registry settings.

Hello! I have put up a brand new domain for test use at my company for later migration. I create user acount on the domain and get the welcome to x domain screen. The problem is when i join the w2k domain as a user from the NT i can´t get in, i just return to the press ctrl alt to login screen.

Loud freaking noise in my PC

I suddenly come across a loud noise from the inside of my PC. It is really loud. It has happened before and usually goes away for some reason and then comes back after a few months, but right now it is really loud and quite annoying.

i'm trying to run FF7 on WindowsXP and it runs fine UNTIL I enter a subgame like chocobo racing or the submarine scenes. I've seen all of the app compatability stuff for win2k, but does anyone know of a solution that works for sure under windowsXP? i promise to worship you if you help fix the problem.

Problem with local ngstats in UT

There's a strange problem that arised after i installed IE 5. 5 in win2k. When i run Unreal Tournament's ngstats(local) the log files of the game are processed but IE reports that there were no games played and all the stats are blank.

CD and DVD drives missing

Woke up this morning and found my CD and DVD drives missing from My Computer folder. Device manager shows an (!) with a code 31 for each. Have uninstalled and reinstalled both drives, also controllers.

I know this stuff must exist, so what is the best hardware device to use for painting pictures or drawing on the computer. Like a usb pen and pad with pallette section etc. Also, how do companies draw stuff for games? Do they paint them and them scan the images or how does that work? Thanks.

I'm trying to repartition the C: drive on an NT4 Server as it is down to 25mb. I installed ServerMagic to the E: drive and made the necessary changes to the partitions, taking 900mb from E: and adding it to C:.

Ok, i have a problem i think is due to BIOS not sure though. I have pulled everything, and tested the processor in another computer all work. Now when i turn on this box, everything comes on like it is going to boot then it won't even beep like it normally does after it posts.

Overclocking TNT2 M64 Pro

Hey i just added a P III heat sink & fan to a TNT2 M64 pro card and overclocked it from 125 to 160 Mhz(processor), and 125 to 150(memory), i want to get the moooost possible performance out of this card, can't overclock it more without more cooling(which i can't think what to do without spending money).
