XP Home is running very strange :)

iks
Hello again. . . My brother has AMD Duron 700, 192 megs of RAM, Geforce2MX, 40GB IBM, 3com net card, etc. . . Is this configuration good enought for Windows XP Home Edition? Beause it works just fine until a certain moment - when you open some game or application.

DVD-R/RW/RAM drive question

ConQueso
I'm thinking about getting a DVD-R/RW/RAM drive. I can get a Panasonic for $330, an HP for $450 or a Pioneer for $420. I don't know the DVD-R/RW/RAM scene well. I'm under the impression the drive must be able to burn on DVD-Rs in order to make DVDs which run on standard DVD players for viewing on TV.

HELLBRINGER
I am having a workstation, with a CD-RW on it, having the task at 3am every night, to copy data from a server to the local hard drive. And then I want it to write to a CD. I got the batch for copying the files working fine, and set in the scheduled tasks to run every night.

Possible Solution for Infinite Loop,Nvidia,BSOD's

mike3169
Read this over at TweakXP's forum. Posted by OPEN_SOURCE. Try going into Services under Administrative Options in Control Panel. Disable anything relative to Nvidia Services. Someone is stating on TweakXP that this service for some reason is causing the NVidia driver to be loaded twice.

Uh-oh. Bill in consideration would ban home-built PC's.

Brian Frank
If you haven't seen this thread over at , you might want to. Apparently, a senator is sponsering a bill that would, among other things, outlaw home-built PC's. 8) I seriously hope this is a joke, but read for yourselves and see.
