I have a problem w/ playing halflife (DOD) since I put on XP PRO. It installs fine but when I go to update servers it crashes. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Please help!!!!!!!!???.

I have a large W2k Network using active directory, is there any way to force a network print onto every user's profile so they dont have to install it and set it up on every machine they log onto. This is very frustrating in a school situation.

I'm seeing the following error message in my event log each time I boot Win2K: The device, \Device\Scsi\HPT3xxNT1, did not respond within the timeout period. The system runs perfectly and Chkdsk shows no errors whatever.

I recently built a new system to replace an older one and used many parts from the old one. The old system's boot drive (13GB C had XP Pro on it, but I moved it to slave and set the new 60GB as master, and I installed XP Pro on it.

access 97 does not work properly under win2k...

specifically. . . trying to import pictures does not work as it did under w98. I can copy/paste a pi into an ole form field. . put once the box loses focus, the picture disappears. If i copy a picture directly into the table and then convert it into a device independent picture, it is saved.

MS VBscript error tring to post to another forum

I get a MS VBscript error when I try to post a message to another forum. When I go to view that message it also comes up with the error message. This is using Opera, Netscape & IE. On my other bootable drive, no problem Both are running 2k w/sp2 installed.

For some reason, I have lost Windows XP Pro system sounds (i. e. opening and closing Windows). If I go into the control panel and test my SB128 PCI card for the system sounds they work. Any ideas or suggestions on how to restore the system events sounds? TIA.

Hi co-networkers, How does it come, that a WinNT or WinXP host can see a Win95 client in the LAN, but the client can't see the host? Ping works fine in both directions. Network printing works from the host to the client, but not from the client to the host.

XP has been screwing up for me so i decided to reisnstall. I removed the c: partition and let windows re-format it on re-install. now that i've finaly reinstalled it's screwed up all my drive letters.

When you update your bios with the newest file does that new file incorporate all the older version updates. like say if an older update inproves WinME stabability and new version lets the board support 2100+ XP Chips does the new one also give the WinME Stabability increase? Thanx.
