Has asus ever made a bad motherboard?

I don't think i have ever seen a coment on any forum about problems with any motherboard! I would like to know if anyone has ever heard of any problems with them. I have owned 4 so far and never had an probs.

Im looking for a replacement to my broken ASUS A7V133A board, A new board must support 8 devices and Athlon XP 1700+, Prefer DDR also. I was looking at ASUS A7V266-E but fancy a change, maybe a board that supports dual Athlon XP's.

I installed a new 20 gig HD yesterday and lost use of a program that runs off our at work network. The program is dos based and we have 2 machines here that run windows 2000 and this program. There have been no problems at all until now.

Windows XP + Visual Studio.NET = Performance trouble???

Dear All, I was wondering if other people seem to be experiencing SEVERE performance trouble with Visual Studio. NET installed on a Windows XP Professional Machine. Even when VS. NEt is not running at all the machine seems to be super sluggish! I have an AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.

Missing files from a repair boot disk in 2k

I tried twice to make a Emergency Repair Disk using 2k w/sp2 installed and keep getting missing files in the boot disk when I try to boot from it. IFSHLP. sys System\VMM32. vxd and something about a name of a windows loader.

Im trying to use an existing hard drive with Xp on it with my new motherboard MSI845Ultra, but since it has a new IDE controller on it XP wont boot because it doesnt have the drivers installed and wont recognize a bootable device on it.

Hey, As I'm replacing a motherboard atm, I'm looking into moving my HDs around to increase better air-flow and cooling to them. I was wondering if any potential harm or side effects could occur if you posistion them on their sides (vertically) rather then normally (horizontally).

Is anyone using the new Nvidia 27. 50 drivers from Visiontek? can we choose game refresh rates above 60hz with those drivers in Windows 2000 sp2? or do we have to wait for the new Nvrefix? Thanks for any help.

I have 4 files(?) listed in the Add/Remove Programs window, all with the same name: Setup. exe custom database. I have been unable to find any of them on my hard drive or remove them from Add/Remove Programs.
