Unknown files

I have a bunch of directories named $NtUninstallQ******$ (where * is a number). CAn anyone tell me what they are and if I can get rid of them Cheers Stumpit.

I have a bunch of directories named $NtUninstallQ******$ (where * is a number).
 
CAn anyone tell me what they are and if I can get rid of them

Those are the uninstallers for updates and patches you have on XP. I suppose you could delete them but then you would be unable to remove those patches or updates if for some reason you wanted or needed to.

Occasionally an update can break something...so it's best to leave 'em in case you need 'em.
