Hi I have a Soundblaster 64 AWE gold. And I have been running win2k for quite some time now, with no problem. Im refering to the hardware-compatability page now, and wondering if others have problems with it? I dont use any special drivers or anything just what win2k provides, and it works great.

GeForce II crashes in NT

Tried to GeForce II cards in Windows NT. They keep crashing over and over again when running Quake3. My GeForce DDR works fine. The GeForceII crashes running the 3. 84, and 5. 1x drivers. Help!!!! BlakFlagg.

This is Unkoon2000 again, I forgot how to make the network browsing from a windows 2000 computer to a windows 98 faster. When you click on a windows 98 computer on the network, it is very slow when accessing the computers shared items.

Does anyone know what differences is betveen 3. 81 and 3. 84 drivers? I'm having some problems related to 5. 14 drivers. 1. I'm having some random lock ups. One lock up in a day or two. 2. Color palette is messed up.

Hardware Upgrade Advice

I need some advice on upgrading. My current system configuration is listed below. I am trying to decide if I should get a celeron 566 and overclock it to around 800 mhz, or buy a Pentium 600 mhz I play Q3a, Flight Sim 2000, FLY2k!, and Half life.

Win2k with Virtual (IrDA) Com Port ???

Hi, is there a way to get Win2k to have the IrDA port mapped to a virtual com port like in Win98 ?? I want to use an application which only supports COM ports but I need to connect to a device (mobile phone) over a IrDA connection.

HD Partition size for Win2000 pro

I have a new HardDisk (20GB) and I want to make two Partitions on it. I will assign partition 1 as NTFS formated and bootable for Win2000 Pro. How big capacities (GB) is Max. capacity for this partition? Can I assign this partition over 10GB and can install and boot win2000 Pro from it?.

Which sound cards actually work in Windows 2000 with a minimum or no trouble? I just yanked my Montego II Quadzilla out because I spent pretty much all of 4 days wasting time trying different things trying to get it to work.
