I just quick-formatted the wrong HD!

Any way to recover it? It was a fat32 partition and quick-formattet to a NTFS partition. It happened in the console during win2k installation. I was on d:\ and typed dir O. K. It was the partition/HD I wanted formatted, so I typed format /q d: and it did it.

a stable mobo 4 k6-2?

HI, atm i have a p5a (i know, its bull****!) and with my g400 and my sb life. . win2k is a joke. no direct draw or direct 3d, mpep4-codec crashes with asf or divx. . can anyone post me a good alternative?.

Need Assistance (Athlon/G400 Problems)

Hello everyone. . . I just recived my new computer two days ago and ever since I've had one killer headache. . . This system is a AMD Athlon 850 running on a ASUS K7V-RM Motherboard and it REFUSES to allow me to use my Matrox Millinnium G-400 MAX Dual Head video card.

HP 7550i CD-RW Drivers for Win2k

I am trying to get my HP 7550i CD-RW burning under Win2k. The HP site is charging $25 for the upgrade to the Adaptec EZ CD Software that came with it but I was never very impressed with this, so I'd rather not cough-up the little bit of cash for an upgrade.

Just wondering if anyone has tried using the new VIA inf file with the kx133 chipset. I tried the first one and got a blank screen on reboot so went back to hacked. sys file from Tom's Hardware.

Acer Scanner 320 USB

Any body have any luck with the drivers from Acer??????????? I got them for Win 2k and after many bad words and insults Mirascan cant find the scanner. . . . . . . . . . . Any help or suggestions will be meet with much praise and adderation.

No D3D in W2K w/ i740 & Voodoo2?

It's odd that I have two 3d-capable graphics cards but still have no D3D in W2K. I use the Intel i740 drivers from MS that came with the operating system, and the most recent voodoo2 drivers from 3dfxgamers.

BJC 5000/5100 series canon printer drivers for win2k?

Does anybody have the win2k drivers for canon bjc5000 series printers. The nt cant be installed on win2k and they still havent released the driver yet. If anybody got theres working please post a reply, it mentions briefly in the hardware page but its not specific how they did it.

MS-6120 Dual P3 and asus TNT2 win2k !

I have an dual p3-500 at a ms-6120 board and I installed win2k but it doesn´t work with my Asus agp tnt2 3800 card. . and if I use my raid card Adaptec AAA-131 the computer won´t boot at all. I´ve tried with an creative tnt2 ultra and the comp won´t boot at all either.

Creative Savage 4

I have a Creative Savage 4 Card in my computer, I have the latest drivers for W2k but I cant get the card to work with OpenGL and D3d,,,, When I try to like set Half-Life to use OpenGL in w2k, it ses that I dont have any GL drivers suitible for my card etc.

Whats the big fuss on prossessor speed

You will have to excuse me but I don't understand what all of the fuss is about having the fastest prossessor. For most of us a 600 pent is more than sufficiant. Who needs a gig prossessor or two 1 gig prossessors, all's were doing is making Intel a wealther companie than it already is.

Diamond Viper v330 (Riva128)

I can't my Diamond Viper v330 (Riva128) card to recognize with the Direct3D drivers. When I run dxdiag. exe it says D3D not enabled. This is for sure a D3D card. . . it worked under W95 and W98. Why not 2000? I have tried directx 7.

Sharing Printers in 2000

I'm sharing a printer in windows 98, which is a lexmark 3200 inkjet. How do you get it to print on on other computers with windows 2000 and 98? It doesn't work. Its says could not connect to printer! Please Reply!.
