just recently i started getting bsods in d2 and in ultima online. uo used to freeze sometimes under win2k, but that problem seemed to have cleared up. and i havent had any problems until just recently.

hey, has anyone else every had the problem of graphical glitches when you move your mouse over text or just anywhere in general in Windows. games seem to run fine, but when i am just browsing or doing normal work it locks up on me.

I have recently installed 2 identical p3 500 into BrillianX IV, with one CPU it runs fine, with the second cup utilization is at about 30% constantly and it slow and jerky, Fade effect kills the machine.

Hey all! Got bit of a dilemma here. My TNT2 works fine with the 3. 84e ASUS drivers. But I keep hearing good things about the 5. xx series. But every time I try to install them (5. 22, 5. 33) OpenGL dies on me.

For the life of me I can not get my Creative Labs Modem Blaster DI5601-1 to work. The modem works fine in Win98 but whenever I boot into Win2k I have problems. Whenever I try to dial I get an error saying, Error Could Not Open Port.

Win2000 and voice modems?

Does anyone know of any internal voice modems which work with windows 2000? Specifically looking for PCI modems, but if none will work, ISA will due for now. I also need to know what software anyone is using with these, as Symantec's Talkworks supposedly doesn't work under win2000 (according to symantec).

Using roadrunner cable modem through PCI network card. . . every time I reboot Win 2000 loses the TCP/IP settings and I can't connect. I then have to go into network settings and uninstall TCP/IP protocol and reboot.

I can't seem to install Win2k Pro on my PC. The setup works fine up until it gets to the detecting and installing devices screen here it gets up to about 90% and then the screen goes black and a whole line of commas appear on the screena and the PC won't work forcing me a to do a hard reset.

Windows 2000 doesn't crash anymore 🙂. But you forgot to mention that k6 write allocate should also be disabled in you bios settings, in order to get an stable w2k setup. Anyway, thanks a lot!.
