Thoughts on Tyan Trinity 400?

Does anyone have thoughts on the Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard. It seems like a good idea because it has a slot 1 and ppga370 socket, to make it easy to upgrade in the future. If not, should I go for a slot 1 or ppga board.

Diamond Monster Sound MX300/Win2K

Hi there, I'm running Windows 2000 Professional and I have a Diamond Monster Sound MX300. I've got a rather interesting problem (I think I do, anyway ) I'm using the standard Aureal A3D chipset drivers that come with W2K and periodically my sound randomly cuts out.

Can´t get DMA with my dvd-rom

They work fine with win98 in DMA mode. Now win2k autodetects pio mode, and if I select use DMA if available the system ignore the settings please help me! I have a Motherboard Chaintech CT-6ASA, Pentium3 450, matrox g400, Sb Live, 256Mb ram, dvd pioneer A04SZ Please Help i'm go crazy.

cannot change monitor type

Hi All, I need help; i have a abitlm6 Mobo and a nvidia tnt2 m64 card and i installed win2k; i get a default monitor setting along with vga mode; so basically it cannot detect the monitor (optiquest q71) and the nvidia driver has a ? beside in the device manager? Any ideas why Thanks to all hesp

Guys would win2k pro run on a pentium 166 laptop with 64 megs ram, 2 gig HD, 10x cdrom, 56k modem and 16 bit internal soundcard? the laptop is a HP omnibook 2000 Does win2k even have a laptop install feature? Celeron 300a@464 on a Abit BH6 Rev 1.

I have the Highpoint Technology Side-Pro HPT366 Ultra DMA 66 IDE controller installed. You can see by my system specs below that I have 3 hard drives. . . all using the normal motherboard IDE slots. Therefore my controller card is not being used at all.

nVidia and the Asus P5A-B motherboard instability in Win2k

I just clean installed Windows 2000 on my PC and my Nvidia TNT2 Ultra card is extremely unstable. The official Nvidia Microsoft drivers cause the OS to freeze on startup After about 20-30 minutes of normal OS use such as browsing folders, installing programs or browsing the internet, with the latest Detonator 2 v5.

ATX Power Supply Question

Ok. . . I have a fairly standard Power Supply. I have the traditional ATX Motherboard plug, 2 2x4pin IDE connectors 2 4pin IDE and 4pinfloppy connectors and another connector that I'm not using. . It looks to be a little larger than the standard AT power supply plug.

GeForce Pro doesn't like Windows 2000....

I'm having trouble with my Creative Geforce Pro on Windows 2000 Professional. I can't run 3D games on OpenGL or Direct3D mode, it will crash or automatically reboot the computer. I have tried playing Counterstrike on Win 2k, but only Software Rendering works.
