Im having problems trying to get creative labs 4x4x24E RW working with Nero, It has been detected in win2k but Nero 4. 0. 7. 5 just doesnt detect it at all. I do have other progs, so which is the best? And How do i get it to work??.

Try this in Windows 9x, NT, and 2000.

This is supposed to make your hard disk access faster. It works very well for me on both my 7200 Ultra ATA 66 drive at home and my sh!tty 5400 Ultra Crapper at work. Configure the Contiguous File Allocation Size (Windows 9x and NT) This setting optimizes the contiguous file allocation size for the file system.

Canon Scanners WIth Win 2k??

Just wondered and seen on the compatablity list it has the 620P version working with windows 2000, but i got the usb version and it flags the scanner in device mananger. Any help? Thanks Michael reggie@smithville.

I start win2k. It crashes for no reason at all. Doesnt matter what im doin, crash. Why the hell is it doing this!?!? Please help me. . . There seems to be about a 10 minute span before it crashes every time.

No sound now.

OK , I have tried all the SBLive fixes with no luck. Now I am stuck with no sound at all. Can someone please tell me how to get the Win2000 drivers back. I will live with 2 speakers until Creative get's new drivers out.

Hi, I've got a Abit BP6 and since I got that I've not had any of the above features. I've got the computer type as ACPI Multiprocessor System, and ACPI is turned on in the BIOS. I dont even have the APM tab in power management - so the computer cant even turn itself off.

Ya. Well I was just messin around the other day and I noticed when I played my games that my mouse buttons wernt't correctly assigned. I have a logitech 4 button mouse. I was wondering if there is a way to make the fouth button the 3rd button and the 3rd button the fouth button.

Has anyone gotten this to work? I'm trying to hook it up to my desktop theater 2500 and it's a no go. The dtt2500 stops the analog input when it detects a digital source, but I don't hear any sound. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone know a good 21” monitor with good dot pitch and good refresh rate that I find? I know most web page designers use really good monitors and I am using 17” with really bad refresh at 1025 x 768 at 75 Hz I need a monitor that can handle that resolution but around 150Hz or higher.

DHCP-server problems with Win2k

I've got a major problem here. . which i cant figure out. . Well, let me try to explain it. . I have a computer that i mainly use with nt4. And when i boot it up, it's configured to use a DHCP-server and a DNS-server to get the ip adress and subnet mask etc.

Steering Wheel under NT4 (SP4)?

Im running Monaco Racing Simulation (Ubisoft) on my PC. It works fine with NT4, using a Voodoo Banshee Board and Glide 2. 6, Glide 3. 1 The only problem is my joystick. It works, but it would be much more fun to use a steerring wheel.

HELP! I have now tried 2 different modems, The Modem Blaster DI5601 & a SupraExpress 56K sp and with Windows 2000 it seems as if Distinctive ring no longer is there. Is this true or is it just drivers that are not there yet? Please help me I use WInfax for work and need to to tell the dif between rings.

Would anybody be interested in an IRC channel for the users of this forum? Sometimes, the forum does get a bit slow especialy when it's an emergency and you need answers fast. So perhaps this isn't such a bad idea.
