AMD K6-2 500 shows as 251Mhz??

Can anyone explain why my AMD K6-2 500 shows up as running at 251Mhz in both System Information and alot of other small utilities that are supposed to display the running speed. Packet Writing in Win2k

I know that there are lots of posts concerning directcd in win2k but I have yet heard anyone find packet writing software that works in Windows 2000 pro that works in acpi mode and does not result in losing hibernation.

W2k SBLive lag in sound...

After finally installing the Liveware 3. 0 to get 4 speaker support on my SBLive, sound lags behind the action. Take UT for example. I´m dead, then I hear the shot. It´s lagging just about 1/4 second, but that timespan decided a little too often about life and death of my alter ego.

best hardware for runing games under win2k?

What is the best hardware equipment for runing games under win2k? (let's asume nvidia get's their stuff working soon enough). Then, would perhapes a Dual-P3 system with a phat Geforce and loads of Ram and a phat scsi ultra wide2 disk be the best? Just curious, cuz my sys isn't even near that.

I may have missed such discussion previously due to my workload - (not much time for surfing) Does the retail edition on Win2K support the SB Live natively without needing to disable PCI Steering and do the other funky stuff? - I don't suffer from insanity.

Epson FS200 drivers - there wont be any

I have just had confirmation from Epson that they will not be writing drivers for the FS200 scanner, as detailed below I have made enquiries and it has been confirmed that we will not writing drivers for 2000 & the FS 200.

SMC ARCNET under WIN2K

Hi every1! I have a serious problem: can't get to work my SMC ARCNET PC130/E network card neither under win2k nor under nt4. I couldn't find any drivers or instructions how to do this. Please if someone knows anything about this, let me know.

My event viewer is filling up with several niggling problems. As far as I can tell they havent affected my system, but then again, I'm not sure. I *have* been experiencing random lockups. Anywho, my system: BP6 w/two 366's@550 FEP32coolers ~31C temp 128mb ram.

DMA66 vs DMA33

Howdye peeps, What is the big deal about upgrading to DMA66 compatiable ide-controller? Especially since you nowdays usually have to change the entire motherboard to get it. Ofcause you buy an expansion card but that will occupy a free pci slot and that stinks when you need all those 5 (like me).

How to enable Hibernation?

I upgrade to windows 2000 from win98. i did not have hibernation in win98. after finish upgrade, i was able to use hibernation, and i did use it successfully. . . but after I restart PC, the feature is gone.

BP6 HPT366 Errors in Win2k under Event Viewer

I have an Abit BP6 motherboard and am using an IBM ATA66 27GB hard drive on the HPT366 controller. I recently downloaded the Win2k drivers for the HPT366 controller and used them to install Win2k. I am also using the latest PW Bios for the BP6 and version 1.
