Hi All, I just installed Win2K on my dual P3 system. I am having a hard time verifying that Win2K is actually detecting and using the two processors. I found in system info that two identical processors are showing, is this it? Is there any other way to tell? Also, are there any tweaks or things I can do with SMP? ...

udma66+win2k: booting from 15gb, but not from 20gb drive

I have two drives from IBM, one with 15GB and one with 20GB. On both are W2k clean-installs (using the standard onboard ide-controller), but only the 15GB drive can boot on the UDMA66-controller (Abit BE6 Rev.

Matrox G400 Win2K GL?

Any Matrox G400 users out there having any problems with GL in Win2K? I heard D3D works great, but GL games like Quake3 won't run. I'd REALLY like to make the move back to Win2K. I'm running Win98SE now after upgrading from the TnT2 to the G400.

i am running dual p2 400s, i get a strange message in my event viewer that says that there is some sort of performance thing about using two different revisions. like as if i was trying to run two cpus at different speeds.

Win2k + Via Busmastering?

Just installed my copy of Win2k Pro Final. (Won from a MS drawing). Now, I'm noticing that the when hard-drive or (especially) CD-ROM usage is high, the system becomes remarkably unresponsive. E. g. , it is impossible to navigate in an IE window while installing something off a CD.

Hello, im having problems with my Diamond Stealth III S540 AGP (Savage4 chip). All games that use 3D acceleration run extremelly SLOW, I tried to install the NT4 drivers but had no success. Does anyone have suggestions?.

Apologies if this has been beaten to death but I have a Real magic h+ card. After installing the drivers of the site, when I go to play a DVD it says a compatible decoder card has not been detected, a DVD drive is not enough blah blah.

For all of you tweak monkeys out there 3dfx has just released new drivers for the banchee v1. 04. 00 The drivers are for the 9x operation system but, if anyone plays with them enuf we might be able to get them working in win2k.

I have an HP Pavilion 8595C. I have only limited features in the Bios, so I did some checking and found out it is an Asus board, but because its OEM its not listed on there web site. I ran PC Probe on it and it lists features available in the bios that I can't get to.

I can't boot into Windows 2000 (2195) with Matrox Mystique 220 + Abit BH6 v1. 0 mobo. . . My monitor suddenly turns into standby while windows2000 startup screen appears (I can't get into the GUI !!) But in Safe Mode I can.

Network Connections Problem...

Over the course of the W2K beta, and chages in my network hardware, I've created many entries in Network and Dial-up Connections. Now when I create a new connection to my ADSL box via my network card (static IP) I get a popup that says an existing connection already has that IP address.

I just installed Liveware3 under Win2k 2195. As per the instructions posted on this website. Everything worked, except that when I try to load the Mixer I get an error stating: CTSURMIX. exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
