Auto-Insert Notification

Does anyone here know how to enable the Auto-Insert Notification on a CD-ROM drive in Windows 2000? In Win98, you could change that in the CD-ROM's Property in the Device Manager but there is no such option in Win2k's Device Manager.

sound out of 2 speakers with audio cds?

i have liveware 2000, and the cambridge 4 point speakers. When playing dvds in my dvd/cdrom, all 4 speakers work. When i just play an audio cd, only sound from the rear speakers. I have heard others with the problem.

Pablo Internet Edition

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has been able to get Pablo Internet Edition (a digitizer tablet) to work under win2k? The device comes with drivers for 9x and NT but no 2k and no 2k drivers planned.

Just came back from CeBIT and I was told by Powerquest representatives that they have a patch in the works due for release sometime in April. . . Conclusion: do not convert all your partitions to NTFS if you have the slightest thought of going back to W9x (or dual booting).

Canon LBP-660 & FB630U

Is there any possibility getting these Canon devices to work under Win2k. I´ve tried the NT-driver for the LBP-660 and windows-printing-system seemd to be ok, but the printer-drivers won´t install. For the scanner FB630U I couldn´t find any Win2k-drivers although the MS-compability- list says that they are availible.

Driver for Sony DSC-F505

I have a Sony DSC-F505 the USB drivers for WIndows98 works great but there are no USB drivers for Windows 2000 that I can find and the RS232( serial port) is just too too slow. Is there anyone out there that can take the Windows 98 USB drivers and modify them to work with Windows 2000.

We got Liveware2000, now how 'bout some DXR3 drivers...

Now that I've got my full support of my Soundblaster Live! Value, I'd know like to use my DXR3 in 2000 (yes, I've tried the Hollywood Plus driver with terrible results). Is there any way these nice people who got us the Liveware2000 stuff could also get us DXR3 owners some drivers for 2000 as well? Just wondering.

PCIModem Trouble - winCOMM II from Jaton

I've got a cirrus logic chipset PCI modem from Jaton called Wincomm II. I just cant make it work properly with Win2K, eventough win2k detects the device but the drivers i use (NT4. 0) doesnt seem to work (!mark in modem icone).

IDE channel problem (?)

Guys, I think I have a problem with my IDE channel(s). On and off, the computer locks up when I access my cd-rom (creative 48x). Could be when I start a game or run an installation. The HD led goes on (constant light) and a restart is needed.

Ok, Frustration sinks in. I have a Diamond viper 770 Ultra TNT2 card. Everything on the desktop looks great. So I fire up Asheron's call. . . yeww software rendering. So I run dxdiag and test my 3d settings.
