Is there no network properties or what ever under the Control Panel? Like the one where you could select Identification, Services, Protocols, Adapters, Bindings How do you go about adding new protocls, and checking what services are installed? Thanks

I have been reading some of the posts here and alot of ppl are telling you to open your guest accounts. It sould be noted that while on a internal network that may be fine. . . but if you open the guest account on a pc that has direct access to the internet be warned anyone now has access to snoop you shares.

I have a home network w/3 98 se machines, and one win2k machine. The network works fine, and I seem to be able to use win98SE connection sharing with my DSl, but when I go to browse on the 98 machines, and attempt to enter my 2k box, It asks for a password.

Dsl Creates phone line noise w/ microfilters installed!

I just upgraded to dsl and i was told to put microfilters (i think z-filters) on every line not using dsl. well i did that but i still get a small hum/crackel annoying noise. does anyone have this problem? Athalon 500 196mb Ram 3D prophet ddr-dvi geforce SB Live! sound card.

It seems as though Frogmaster had a problem similar to mine. I also have just subscribed to ADSL service with my local telco (Ameritech). The connection works great in Win98 after a very quick and simple set-up (just create a new connection after installing VPN service).
