limited taskbar functionality

I've been running Windows 2000 Pro for a few days but something odd happened when I booted up this morning. My taskbar shortcut icons had vanished and I can no longer add any. Right-clicking on the taskbar does absolutely nothing.

HELP! Win2K BIZARRO UNIVERSE!

Argh! All I did was log off from administrator and log back on under same and now, for some strange reason, all the folders in the administrator Documents and Settings folder look and behave like Start Menu folders.

Media Player kills me !!!!

i have a strange problem , i started a corrupted asf file by media player. it couldn´t start so the media player connected itself to the internet an download about 10 kb from a site i could find out.

Disappearing Backgrounds?

Guys, I don't know what I did, but this is the weirdest probelm ever. I right click on the desktop, and select properties. Now usually the first tab would be to select the background. It is not there.

Win2K & Acad2K

I'm looking at moving some of our AutoCAD 2000 systems over to run under Win2K and have just found out that there are some issues with it. At the moment there looks to be a problem with plotting (as staded on the Autodesk page) but Autodesk currently have a Beta patch in test for fixing this.

TV output? What is the holdup?

What seems to be the hold up with having TV OUT in win2k? I thouhgt it was a driver issue? Nvidia has released a bunch of drivers now (beta , of course) but none of them seem to have any TV Out support =(

ICQ 99b and DSL not working.. plz help!

I have been trying with out success to get icq to work on my windows2000 partition. For some reason it is not able to connect to the internet(or so it says) to validate my account info so i cannot even get into any of the menus inside icq.

Aol Versions 4 & 5

I have yet to get Aol working with windows 2000. It is definitly to do with the Aol adapters. It won't install them. I have tried installing them manuanlly, still finding windows 2k throwing them out.

MS CD Player

Say, I am having a tad bit of trouble with the MS CD player that comes with w2k, When it tryes to get the CD info it says my check my net settings and try agian. Well my net setting are fine as far as I know, I mean I am here typeing so.

Restart menu choices?

This was probably something I should have brought up under the Beta test, but oh well. . . Is there a way, registry tweek or otherwise, to get a Restart in Win9x type option in the shutdown/restart menu? I find it highly annoying to have to wait around for the dual boot menu to come up.

What the hell is up with this error message when I try to open some apps or exes in win 2000:The procedure entry point UnMapLs could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32. dll. Cant open anything good anymore??? HELP!!!!.

powerdvd2.5 and win2k RC-3

They say powerdvd 2. 5 works as long as you install aspi. So where do i get ASPI and how do i install it? All i need is a software DVD player in win2k and life will be great! Thanks.
