Hexus: Corsair One a100

Corsair gets on board with AMD Ryzen. We've often wondered what it might take for AMD to get system builders on board when rival Intel is known to have dominated the market for quite some time. Turns out the answer is simple; build a compelling product and they will come. That is certainly the case for the firm's Ryzen CPUs, with every major integrator now eager to put forth an AMD alternative.

LanOC Reviews: Asus ROG Strix B550-I Gaming

AMD launched their new Ryzen 3 CPUs last May along with details on their latest chipset, the B550. It wasn’t without drama but it is finally time where we can check out some of the new boards. To start things off I have the Asus ROG Strix B550-I which the I, like with past Asus boards, indicates it is an ITX form factor. With the X570 boards from AMD and Z490 boards from Intel all being on the expensive side. I’m really curious to see what AMD’s mid-range ITX option which will support the most recent generation of Ryzen and future Zen 3 CPUs will have to offer. So today I’m going to check out the board and what Asus has given it for features then test it out a little before we see how it fits in the market for pricing.

eTeknix: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard Review

While the AMD X570 may be the flagship chipset for AM4 CPUs, AMD is looking to get PCIe Gen 4 and more features into the hands of more consumers. B550 is more affordable than X570 as it trims a few of the features, but that hasn’t stopped Gigabyte from releasing a high-end version of the mid-range chipset. That’s an interesting place, as it means high-end features and style, but hopefully at a lower price point than X570! The Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard is certainly one of the best-equipped motherboards launching today.

Anandtech: The AMD B550 Motherboard Overview: ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, ASRock, and Others

AMD’s budget motherboard range is often at times more successful than the bigger, full fat versions. Users have in the past got almost all of the same chipset features on these motherboards than they did on the X-series range. That changes with the new B500 series as consumers no longer have PCIe 4.0 on the chipset, instead reverting back to PCIe 3.0. This ultimately should not be an issue, as budget builds are unlikely to have multiple PCIe 4.0 add-in drives, for example. Nonetheless, the high vocal demand for B550 motherboards, especially after AMD launched Ryzen 3, has not gone unnoticed, and there are over 40 new models in the market, most of which should be on sale from today.
