Ok, I installed 2428 and wehn it boots it doesn't load the theme services. . I have to manually start them even though it says (automatic) startup. Extremly annoying. Any one know how to fix this? Also, I can't seem to install drivers.

Hello, I recently bought a SMC router. The problem is that some games won't work anymore. It occurs with Colin Mcrea 2 and AOE the Conq. Where do I configure the built-in firewall so that I can host or join these apps and games? Greetings dbaser.

How about this cool feature in XP (beta). Anybody heard of this ? If ANY error occurs while the OS is running, the OS connects your internet connection and sets up an IP logging session with the main MS server.

?how to install/problems NT4 on 45GB hard drive

I am trying to install NT4 iether as single or dual boot (with 95 or 98 - have 'upgrade' NT4) on a 45 GB IBM ATA100 hard drive; I keep getting error/go away messages during setup even though the primary partition is formatted as fat 16 - also it wont let me convert to ntfs during setup.

Office 2000 pirated version solution.

I came across a registry hack that, while combined with a certain crack fixes the problem people have with Office 2000 and their service pack. The solution is too long to mention here but if anyone is interested, it's relatively easy to follow, simply consisiting of one 'hack' and applying the aforementioned crack.

Hi all! I've been searching this forum for an answer to my question without success, so I thought I might post it - sorry if this has been posted before. Alpha Centauri: Game seems to work fine under Win2000, but for some reason I am not able to move units around with the keypad (yes, I checked - NumLock is on).

Ok. . . so after the debacle of installing w2k and then whistler. . . I installed winme. It installed into C:\windows. 000, with whistler being in c:\windows. If I deleted C:\windows and renamed C:\windows.

2428 = Best Windows yet

I have been using windows xp build 2428 for a few days now as my main os. It has performed exceptionally. I never imagined that it would be so much faster than windows 2000. It boots as fast as winme and has all the 2000 features and then some and it is a dream to work with.

I've tried installing build 2428 and I get stuck at the same spot too. I use a TNT2U card and it still halts. So I borrowd my brother's Voodoo4 and the same thing. Next I pulled out my old ATi All-in-Wonder, and it still hangs at that same spot.
