Any computer connecting to an XP computer

Whenever any computer tries to connect to one of my XP machines, it will try to logon as guest even though the account is disabled. And so it fails and comes up with a window to ask you to type the correct username and password in.

But in the username box there is "computername\guest" and its greyed out and it wont login no matter what password you try. I want to be able to log in as administrator. How can i do this

Are you using NIC's or some parallel/serial/USB connection?

Try this:

Change the following registry key on the computers (if XP or 2000):

HKey_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

The value is forceguest. The default is 1, which will only allow the guest account access to the computer from another computer. Change the value to 0 to allow users to access the computer using their own account.

Hope this helps!
