Video Capture Card for Win2k ?

Is there any entry-level video capture card that absolutely 100% works in Win2k guaranteed ? My Aimslab VExtreme does not - NOR does my new Miro PCTV Rave ( believe me I have tried. . ) All I want to do is hook up my videocam for CU-SeeMe type apps - no TV needed.

Overclocking TNT2

Any software that works with W2K to overclock TNT2, tntclk and performance tuner don't work and I don't want to install powerstrip

Direct3D is DOA (On TNT2)

My Direct3D worked great after a fresh install of win2k and downloading the nVidia reference drivers (3. 78). Then something happened. I am pretty sure it was right after I did all the Windows Updates (including the MS Compatibility Patch).

Network problems - html code in browser

Hello alltogether, for some time now I´ve got quite bad network performance and sometimes even clear html code in my browser windows. (I am connected to the internet via a router). Where would you start looking for the problem? Any help would be appreciated Have fun Llion.

Empty NTFS partition uses 64 MB diskspace???

Hello all, i got this strangest thing. . . i just formatted my 13 Gig harddrive using Disk Management, and now it shows that it uses 64 megs even tho i havent put anything on it. I see no hidden or system files, only the recycle bin is there (which is empty).

S3 Savage 4 (Creative Labs)?

I have recently installed Win2k pro and the new reference drivers from S3. My games are stutter (Solider of Fortune) and Unreal Tournament has many lines across the screen (menu screen). I know win2k pro installed S3 Savage 4 drivers on start - up, would it be best to keep to these.

Your opinion on the PIIIDME board. . have heard different things about the i8xx series but nothing about problems on the 840 series. . so I'll go ahead and ask I'm doing an upgrade to either the tyan 2257 or the PIIIDM3 version.

Help: Auto Reboot in D3D Games - Stop error 0x0000009c

Hello, Since a week or two, when I try to play some (not all of them) 3D Game, my computer reboot by itself. I want to precise that Auto Reboot on Error is disabled. The entry in the System Event Log is : Event ID: 1001 Source: Save Dump Description: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.

Exabyte Eagle Nest ( Int. & Ext. ) & Win NT,2000

I'd like drivers and software for the Eagle Nest IDE but Exabyte doesn't make them anymore. They only work for Win9x. Can't anyone just write new ones or am I stuck with expensive doorstops?? I have the Zip100,LS-120, TR-4 and three HDDs.

Dual Monitors and W2k

Has anybody gotten dual monitors/dual display cards working properly under w2k? Our systems here at work are running windows 98 with Asus v3400TNT AGP card, and an S3 Virge PCI card. Of course the cheap s3 card doesn't work under w2k with dual display.

devices using the same irq

Every time I start up win2000 it assign my irq 10 to five different devices (two video-adapters, a soundcard, a tv-card, a network-adapter). It says there are no conflicts but when I try to play any sound or use the network adapter, win2000 stops responding.

FIC ka11 motherboard with Win2k???

Ok, I have lost my OS several times in 2000 and gave up, went to 98, and said yuk. I havent loaded any drivers other than the ones Windows loaded during install. I found in 98 if I loaded the VIA busmastering driver my data became corrupt in 2-3 days.
