SB Live S/P-DIF output question

I heard the SB live s/p-dif output voltage level is +/-5v (TTL level) instead of s/p-dif standard of +/- 500mV level. I found this out very late, and by then my receiver has been broken (skips and beeps when I play off DTS source).

Harddrive ID.

Does anyone know if i could change my HD ID number, without formating my harddrive? (I'm thinking a small little program that chages it for me). I know this is far from only a w2k q. but you guys have helped me in so many ways before /David.

Sony CRX100E OEM CDR/W problems

My problem with this drive is that of two things. First, during boot-up when my computer checks all IDE Devices it hangs for a bit then I get the error ATAPI Incompatible for the Secondary Master (where i have the burner set up).

HP CD-Writer Plus 7200e

HP recently released drivers for the CD-Writer Plus 7200 External. The original problem with it was that it would boot to the BSOD. Even with the these drivers, it *still* does it!!! I have got the driver to install, and it shows in My Computer, but hangs when I try to access it, and when I reboot, it will BSOD on me.

How EXACTLY does one get the drivers installed for this tape drive under Win2000. It has recognized the drive as an unknown device. . . but I have no idea where to point the thing for the driver. . .

Win 2k and Fastrak Raid card

Ok I have a Ultra 66 Card Turned into a Fasttrak RAID card, When I Install the card in Win2k and reboot, I get a STOP error saying please check hard drive or hard drive controller. Anyone have any suggestions?.

NT server 4.0 and cluster size

I have installed winNT many times. The thing I have noticed is that when creating a partition with NTFS it defaults to 512Byte clusters. I convinced a client to get rid of fat16 on his server and I formatted during the reinstall.

Hardware Overlay on a damn PCI WinTV

The only reason I use Win2000 is cause it doesn't crash when watching TV(and working). Thing is though, I haven't seen overlay mode work since about a week after I bought it, and upgraded to a TNT (jan '99).

P2D-D don't work with PIII and Win2K

I have the Asus P2B-D With last bios (1012b), and two PentiumIII 550MHz inside (512Ko). And it does NOT work fine on Win2K! Some applications like 3D Studio MAX r3, Photoshop5 and 5. 5, Media player (!!! Whis mpeg movie), IE5 (Only with intansive use on Web page) close themself alone (or Dr Watson).

New P3B-F Upgrade Install Pro?

I am going to pick up an Asus P3B-F tomorrow and have a nice stable Win2k Pro install at this time. What is the best way to install a new mobo without a complete reinstall from scratch (apps and all)? Would booting with a boot disk doing a winnt.
