Printer problems and services

I turned off a load of services that I thought I wouldn't need in win2k pro and now I can't get my printer to work anymore. When windows boots, it tries to install the printer but comes back with a message saying that it needs the RPC server but I can't find that service anywhere.

IE 5.5 slower??

After reading on Betanews about people experiencing faster loading of webpages with IE 5. 5 Final, I was disappointed to see that it's noticably slower on my machine. I also think there's a memory leak or something because just watching the IExplore process in Win2k, I can see the memory usage rise incredibly quickly.

I need a driver for Epson Stylus Color 600 under W2K. The W2K driver for this printer is very bad! I can't print a decend document. Nobody know a beta driver or a link when I can download this driver?? THANKS VERY MUCH!!!!.

It appears as though any posting to the group is currently being blocked by Creative as no new messages have been posted in the past 2. 5 hours. Looks like they aren't particularly happy with the overwhelming negative response to only the drivers for Win2k being posted, rather than the full package as promised.

K6/2 and Win2K problem

I am having a problem with my processor speed and Win2k pro. I installed Win2k on my system and it detects my processor as about 250 mhz. I have a 450 mhz processor @500 so it is running half speed. I don't get it.

Does anyone got AC3 (SP/DIF) out to work with any software DVD decoders??? With Cinemaster 2000 the option is not selectable and WinDVD 2. 0 outputs nothing! I hate Creative Labs for that! FoLLgoTT.

i thought i would post a message about the new ati radeon 256 seems thats it going to kill the geforce 2, and ati also have a dual version comming out which means that the Radeon will effectively have a fill-rate of 3 GigaTexels and transform up to 60 million triangles per second.

This probably isn't the place, but a lot more people read the hardware forum Internet Explorer 5. 5 is out, and Microsoft announced that Windows Media Player 7 will be released on July 18th. I would also assume that the SP1 release will also occur sometime around the 18th.

Choppy sound in games !

Well, have dl'ed the latest offering from Creative (LW3 - in case you didn't know), hoping it would stop all the stupid sounds and feedback I get in motocross madness II, Deus Ex, etc. . Well, it doesn't, I am starting to think it may be the soundcard.

Win2k and Geforce question..URGENT!!

Force feedback problems

Is there anyone more than med which has problems with Wingman Formula Force. Everything works exept force feedback. The steering wheel just shakes like hell when I´m about to drive. I´ve downloaded the 3.

What is really the difference? Any examples? And another one: which Apps use D3D, and which ones OGL - how can you say, and what is the difference. I sometimes read '. . . I am running xxx in D3D mode or in OGL mode.
