I finally got my Orchid Righteous 3D II to work in RC2. I used the INF-file posted here. . the Quake3 one (ICD). My device manager still reports that my card is not using any resources because it has a problem.

RC2&RC3 problems with Smartlink modem

I was wondering if there was any one else out there having a problem with the SmartLink (archtek) 5634 BTS internal 56k v. 90 modem. I have been running Win2k since beta 2 and this modem has been running great - connecting anywhere from 48000-51000.

Telepath Winmodem in RC2

I've been hacking away at windows for the past 9 hours trying to get the blasted modem to work, and it just isn't working. When the modem gets detected, it comes up as Telepath 56k Winmodem with x2. It never asks me if I want to install the drivers or anything, it just installs the drivers and labels it 3Com 56k Wi ...

True 40x and RC2

Hey I have build 2128 and every time that I plug in my Hi-Val (Kenwood) True40x IDE CD-ROM my PC will not boot into win2k. It just sits there and the HDD light blinks in a pattern, my system works fine with out the CD ROM and the CDROM worked great in 98 and in WinNT 4.

Here's a copy of what I just sent to Anthony. . . anyone else run into this? - Greetings. . . I followed your directions numerous times in the latest update of your Win2k fix. . . there are a few items that took place that weren't in your notes, and I ended up with an inoperable system under your fix I'm afraid.

3com Big Picture Kit and Win2k RC3

Has anybody been able to get this thing to work? From what I've figured out, the 3com Big Picture uses a Hauppauge Wincast chipset for the PCI part of it, and that much is at least detected in Win2k, but I can't find any suitable drivers.

RC3 + modem problem

I have big problem, i got Microcom Deskporte 56 /W (ESS chipset), W2K fine detects it w/o any probs, but i cantt connect to inet, it opens connecting window, dialing and it hangs and tells me error 777, modem is out of order When i start Hyperterminal everything is ok, modem is accepting at commands.

Anyone tried this setup in rc3 yet? Im totally sick of creative labs and their crappy win2k support. . i need 4 speaker output support NOW. I have a BP6, 2 celerys at 550, and was wondering if this soundcard will work okay.

No "native" openGL in W2K - Official

This article in The Register ( ) says No driver that ships with Win2k will contain OGL support. . . vendors will have to supply their own post ship. How crap is this. . ?.

Creative Audio PCI

I have 2183 on an ASUS p5-99VM MB with on board audio using ES1373. Win 2k recognises the audio and loads the appropriate driver but the machine gets very slow, about 1/50th of normal and I get no sound software working although I can get sound from the CDROM.

Is creative labs even trying to figure out how to get liveware3 (or any other version for that matter) to install correctly on SMP enabled PCs running Win2k?
