Im running RC2 2128 and i have a Hewlett Packard CD-Writer Plus 8100i,problem is that it's not working as a cd writer just plain cd rom. help please.

I currently have an old PII400->448 running on ASUS P2B with 256 RAM. Does multiprocessing work and does it worth the cost of a new mainboard and a second PII400 or 2 brand new PIII or Athlon ? I need power cos I'm working on 13000x8000 pix images with Photoshop, and waiting 20 minutes for a gaussian blur is too ...

I tested/installed the new det drivers 3.64

not even a. 01 performance increase in all opengl games and applications. Did not test d3d performance. BUT I did notice an improvement in stability. every time I notice any kind of crash, concerning sound, video card, software, I try to write it down somewhere.

How do I stop programs from loading......

There are several programs that load at start up that I want to disable but I don't know how to. I Winblows98 I could go to system tools and System info to the startup group and just remove the check mark and reboot and I would have more system resource memory free.

I have a Yamaha CDR102 writer (yup it may be old but it writes cds so i'm happy) In Win2k RC3 I appears after I aplied CDRwin 3. 8a ASPI layer, as a recordable device. However it doesn't appear as a device in explorer.

i recently purchased a ALR autobahn isdn router. . . . it says to use a communication proggy with vt-100 emulation to configure it. when i connect to the router all i get is a window with characters scrolling across it.

Win 2K always trying to install PS2 keyboard

i have a USB keyboard (Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro) and a USB mouse (IntelliMouse explorer). both of those work fine, except that win 2K always tries to install a PS2 keyboard on the i8042 port. to get around this i have plugged in the PS2 keyboard and hid it under the desk! any ideas?.

NT4 sp5 with Flight Sim Yoke

I have a CHProducts Flight Sim Yoke PC which does not work properly on my game/midi port on my CL SoundBlaster Live card. The Setup supplied with the Yoke runs, but I don't see anything that installed in the Devices,etc.

I haven't been able to install the driver for the MagicXpress TV Tuner Card. Has anyone gotten theirs to work? The driver it goes after is the bt848 driver I believe. Windows 2000 doesn't enjoy it very much.

NT4 and Liveware 2.X or higher

I'm having troubles getting my live to work under NT 4 (with Sp5 or 6). I can install liveware 2 or higher, but can't play wav, mp3's etc. Midi files, cd-sound are not a problem. What's wrong here? I do have the original Liveware 1 installation cd.

I'm listening to everyone talk about getting lw3 and sblive working in the newer revisions of w2k, but I was wondering if anyone has been successful with it on a SMP system?? Does it still crap out during the LW3 setup? Also, the instructions from antony toste is very weird.

ok. . . . I have this game for the PC engine that my friend burned me. Now the first track of the CD is redbook and the second is data, the rest redbook. Here's where the problem comes in it wont read the cd at all.

OK I have tryed the drivers for RC2 and I then tryed them and Quake3 will not work ( what good is a 3dfx card if you cant play Q3? (Ya I know, please don't tease me about that 32bit color thing I get the drivers installed,with a desktop res of 1024*768*16 and all is OK, but Q3 gives a failed to open OpenGL subsyste ...

I have the 3. 56 driver installed for my viper 770 Ultra, also aplied the DX7 patch. But after a few minutes of play my machine just locks up. Runs great until then, but can't seem to figure out what is causing the lockups.
