VMWare Trial under Win2k

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had any success with this program? I can get it to install, boot up off of the floppy, and even recognize my SCSI CD-ROM however it doesn't appear to make a virtual HDD.

Memory dump blue screen crashes STILL!

BSOD with Winamp and Sonique

When playing music with Winamp 2. 61 or Sonique 1. 51 and doing something different like extracting or simply copying files my system crashes and I see a BSOD telling me something with PORTCLS. SYS Does anybody knows how to correct that problem? Thanx.

Vcd problems

I cant play some of the vcd i have. I had the same problem before(mci) but i used xing player or jet audio and they worked in 98. Now even with Xing i get the same error msg. Any ideas?i looked in the microsoft site btw and they say that they have droped mci and use dshow something like that.

Icons loosing colors

I got this wierd prob on win2k now, suddenly, all my icons are like 16 colors, and they suck! does ne one know of a fix for this? i tried changing resolutions and all that. . . any input would b appreciated.

ie5 crashed w2k .is that possible?

i 've using w2k for 2 months and never had a crash. until today. when i was surfing the net with ie5 , computer crashed. no bsod no error message. i just freezed. i had the same problem in w98 so often, that was the reason i am using w2k now.

Win2k locking up on standby/hibernate

This problem just started. When I go to standby mode, I hear my drives power down and click off, yet the monitor stays on and freezes, forcing me to cold boot the system. It does the same with hibernate.

Direct X on Windows 2000

Hi All does anyone have any ideas on how to reinstall direct X on windows 2000 without reinstalling the whole O/S from scratch. The reason I ask is the Direct X has become corrupted on my Win2000 computer and applications that use it now fail to work.

crashing with memory dumps???

I'm getting blue screen crashes every so often in win2k pro. . . seems that it does this when the system is under alot of stress. It says that it's doing a physical memory dump on the blue screen. . .

HELP - HP 8100 and NERO

I installed Nero. When I open it, it wont detect my HP 8100 drive. Yes, I installed the ASPI drivers from Sedzar's page correctly. I dont know how to fix it. I'm clueless.

Adaptec DirectCD 3.01 patch

Seeing how the Easy CD Creator 4. 02 patch is still preventing people from rebooting, I'd like to hear how the DCD 3. 01 patch has been going through. I only have Easy CD Creator 4. 01 installed and can't install DCD 3.

WarFTP download speed being limited under 2000

Ever since I installed AT guard and cuteftp4,hard drive tweaks, and messed with deleting gid's and other such un-needed files; My mouse goes MIA when hovering over my Liveware bar and most hyperlinks.
