Installing Win98se for dual boot?

Hi. I have windows 2000 pro on my hd, with a fat32 partition. How can I install windows 98se for a dual boot/ There must be an easy way, without formating, and putting it on first. . . Also. Can someone give me a rough estimate of how muchspace BOTH will takeup/ Win2k takes up 640 megs.

Winamp and Win2k Final Volume problem

I've got a problem with Winamp and the volume controller under Build 2195. If I alter the volume on Winamp, it alters the wave volume sound for the rest of the system. I don't remember it doing this before? Any ideas? Winamp version is 2.

Go Live 4.0

Using W2k 2195. All adobe apps work fine except for go live 4 which gives the error hasn't been installed correctly. Have re installed fine still same message. Have done clean install as well no luck there either.

Can I format a NTFS primary Hard Drive?

Hi guys, I just want to know if I can format a primary NTFS ( C: ) drive? I know in Windows 2000 I can set allocation unit size to 4096 bytes in NTFS. Is there a command I can do in the command prompt that will do something like Format C:/s -bytes 4096 or something that will make my primary have 4096 allocation uni ...

Error in Application

After checking from Event viewer, I have a problem when loading windows 2000 professional. It said the source is perfctrs with description unable to read IO control information from NBT device. Anyone has ideas about this ? Thank you in advance.

Mouse reset failed.

I have problems with Win2K build 2195. When I checked the event viewer in Administrative tool, it said warning in i8042 part with description the mouse reset failed. Is there any cure to this problem ?.

Windows 2000 uncompression!!!

I've have been trying to uncompress windows 2000, but I can't do it sucessfully as there are several system files (most in /system32) which are being used by windows, so they can't be uncompressed. I've tried booting in safe mode, but the same files are still being used.

There is just a post in the news that says that someone got 3DMark99MAX working. . . I have Win2000 Final and it complains that there isn't any DirectX6. 1. . . can someone explain to the program I have DX7 with Win2K?!.

I instaled Win2000 and now my audiocatalist works but when I play back rips I only get garble out of my speakers. I have version 2. 0 and ASPI Ver 4. 60 Adaptec. Thanks for any help!.

Transparency in Windows 2000

Over the summer, I used Windows 2000 for a bit (beta 3) and remember toying with a program which allowed one to set a window or application (it was nice for winamp) to be transparent or even tinted a color.

I have a Win98/2000 network here, but the Win98 do not see any shares on the 2000 workstations. Is there a trick to make them give access to those? Allowed Users in the 2000 share is everyone with Full Control, Change, Read enabled, should be enough, or? I testwise also enabled the Guest account, didn't help.

Win2k DVD player install?

I tried the search function to see if this was asked before but it doesn't seem like it's working. Anyway, does anyone know how to get the default dvd player installed in win2k? I just installed an add-in DVD decoder card into my system and can't seem to find the install option.
