TNT+OGL+W2K=BAD GAMMA heheh this is the most annoying thing i've ever seen. I always thought my monitor was dark, but when i tried playing quake 3 with w2k 2072, nothing. Only the brightest parts show up.

NT Game Palace says that ZIP Drive Parallel 100MB (Iomega)works with Iomega's beta PPA drivers. Where can these drivers be found? Thanks. . . .

Win 2000 and HP ScanJet 5pse SCSI

Has anyone figuired out how to get this scanner to work out of Win 2000 RC1. It shows up as hardware here, but there is no way to control it, everytime I try to use it, it says that it's being accessed by another program, and the scanner can't be found.

Is there still no workaround for the DirectX problem associated with Games searching for DirectX 6? No way to make games like Heavy Gear 2 believe that 6x is installed not 7x?

Who can tell me if the 3COM U. S. Robotics USB ISDN TA is working under w2k ? There seems to be a driver at the 3OM section, but I want to know sure that it works, before I buy one of these. This TA can be connected through USB and Serial.

Okay, first off I have ran the Disk Defragmenter that comes with Windows 2000 pro 2114, but I was wondering if there was any alternatives out there? I'am afraid that if I use a disk defragmentor that's designed for NT, it won't work with my Fat 32 drivers, and Norton utilities 2000 won't install on 2000.

FYI - Just installed the demo for Red Storms Rouge Spear onto the Win98 system and all runs fine. However after an error free install on the W2K RC1 OS we once again can not run the program. In Red Storms read.

Does anyone know whether I need to enable the DMA mode of HD in win2k manually just like in NT 4. 0 or It is automatically enabled? I can't find any place with this option? Thanks!.

I'm having trouble running this game. Has anyone managed it without problems ? Current win2000 build is 2114. The game loads into the menus, allows everything up to starting a game. . . then just black screen.

Hello, I have a single creative labs 12meg v2 in my system, with latest 3dfx reference drivers installed in win98 and in winNT4 (service pack 5). I believe something is configured wrong, however. In Quake2, 800x600, I get 90 fps in win98, but only 70 in winNT.

I installed Windows 2000 builds 2031, 2072 and 2121. My Viper 550 is recognized correctly, however only with build 2072 direct 3d works. With the last 2121 version it crashes when I want to test it with dxdiag.

hello, Iv got a WD 18. 2 gigger 7200 rpm ata 66 drive. But like many others it hangs half way through boot with in the windows splash screen. Im positive I update the bios and drivers, but if its wokring for anybody else Ill do it again.

Tiberian Sun - Blue Screen crash

I'm trying to run Tiberian Sun on my laptop which is running NT4/SP4. It's a Toshiba Tecra 8000 (PII-266) and the video card is a Neo-Magic with dual TV/LCD capability. I have at least 32MB system RAM (think it's 64 actually).

Does anyone know how to get VideoCDs to play under Win2k? I have a standard ATAPI cdrom drive and they play fine under win95, but Win2k can't read from the file to either play it through media player or copy the file to the hard disk.
