my modem woulnt work because it needs to be on com port 1 or 2 but when i try to put it on those ports it says there in use, it works fine in windows 98 but not in 2000pro B2195

I see the Logitech Wingman Formula Force on the works great list for Win2000. Now I can get it to work fine using the built-in Win2k driver for it, but the Wingman software won't install so the force feedback doesn't work.

I'm having trouble with a few (two) of my Riva TNT cards in Win2k 2195. Neither of them want to work. In both instances, I've tried every single Win2k driver I could find on the web - about 5 or 6 of them.

Is it realy impossible to adjust the refreshrate with the driver patch. Mine is locked at 60 Hz - a bit annoying. Otherwise the drivers are working perfectly. SK.

I have tried over and over again to get dxr3 encoder working I have seen that the preferd way of doing this is with the sigma Hollywoood plus beta drivers and then installing the stander nt drivers over them.

Hey guys. . . with the new OEM systems that are comeing out there are new OEM win2k drivers for 3com NIC cards, ESS sound cards and other goodies. . . they are kinda rare but I have found them at hp's dell's and compaq's support site.

I found cpuidle on: Running MBM showed p1:49 p2:49 box:54, this I found a bit high so I thought I should give the program a chance. I downloaded and installed cpuidle, and after the nesessary reboot I started it.

I did a clean install with Windows 2000 Pro build 2194 and ran dxdiag. The hardware test for direct3d did not run after the software renderer test. Also 3DMark2000 doesn't run because it needs hardware-support for Direct3D.

I noticed that the MS FF joystick has been added to the works in Win2k list on the this site. How did you get it to work? What driver did you use? What build of Win2k? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated as I have not been able to get it to work on build 2072.
IntelliMouse Explorer won't work with USB

I am trying to get my IntelliMouse Explorer to work with USB but when I plug it into the USB port it goes through its hardware detection and then says that there was an error. If I go into the device manager it shows the yellow '?' next to USB Device and under properties it says that the drivers are not installed.
Pondering if I should upgrade my cpu...

Hello. Currently right now I have a Celeron 300a oc'ed to 375, 196 megs of ram, Asus P2B mobo, Asus TNT1 and an SBLive. My friend got himself a Celeron 433 dirt cheap from this one store and I'm wondering if I should go nab one while they're cheap.

I need some advice in purchasing a good Hard Drive for NT. My old 6. 5 backup drive is maxing out with only 500 megs remaining and I need a new to replace it quick I just need some advice from anyone who works in NT which drive is really good and reliable in NT environment.
