Really slow games.. and I mean slowwww....

Yet another question for you folks to ponder over. . . I get really slow frame rates in my games, mainly playing Q3A and Grand Prix Legends. They're like really jerky, especially when playing single player with a load of bots or on a LAN.

Intellimouse Explorer Buttons Issue

Cant get two left side buttons on Intellimouse Explorer to work in Games under WIN 2K. Intellipoint 3. 0 is installed and working great in Win2k as is mouse, however left two mouse buttons simply do not function in games such as Half Life and Rogue Spear.

Does anybody know if this scanner will work with WIN2k I tried both the 98 and NT4 drivers, and I tried both SCSI and Parallel and stil nothing

ESS sound card

I have a laptop (prostar) with a ESS 1869 sound card in it. Currently it is using the standard Microsoft drivers for it. The only problem is there is no sound. Sound worked fine in windows 98 but not in 2000.

i need 3com drivers

hi, i have an 3com ethernet card for my cable modem but all the drivers include in the package are for win9x not for NT 4 & 5. . . i have tried to download the win NT x. x on the #com site but the drivers page for model is under construction can you help me please to find the NT 5.

I guess my ip # has been banned from ntcompatible message board. Been trying to get in since yesterday. Only now that I have accessed through an anon proxy can I get in. Oh well. . . I guess I said something somebody didnt like or something.

I get no gamma control in Quake 3

Hey, I'm not getting any gamma control in Quake 3. I'm running a CL geforce the retail version of W2K and the lastest drivers. When Q3 starts the game is very dark and I can't change the gamma, I can move the slider but nothing happens.

Abit BE6 mainboard and Win2k

Ok, check it out! I've got a BE6 mainboard w/ATA 66 availability. When I connect my harddrive to the pci it works fine. As soon I connect it to one of the ATA 66 ports W2k can't locate the drive and gives an error before starting up (can't locate boot device or something).

Help, I lost my DVD

I have a Pioneer 104s DVD. I know if worked because I used it to install Win2k! I also tested a dvd and it played fine. However, now, after I insert a disc (any disc, data, audio, or dvd) it spins up, the light comes on for a sec then goes off.

Scanner in W2K?

Ist there anybody who owns a Primax Colorado Direct 9600 or a Network Scanny -scanner? How do I get it to work under Win2000????? I tried to use the NT4 drivers, but TWAIN 32 says I'd to use EPP/SPP mode of my parallel port.

IRQ mess.

On my Compaq laptop , AMD-K6-2-433 , 64 meg ram with dual boot 98/2000. There are 5 items on IRQ 9. Everything works except the Linskys 10/100 PC card. The card is 2000 compatible but Win2K 2195 will not pick it up on PnP.

ok here's the deal. i have win2k final and installed madden 2000. the game runs fine, but the my sidewinder game pad doesn't work properly. in win98, of course, madden 2000 saw a sidewinder and the game ran smoothly, but madden under win2k had probs.
