I was wondering, I have Quake 3 Arena installed in 98, I want to install Q3a in 2000 in the same directory as my q3a folder in win98? Or does it overwrite it? This is a dual boot btw. .

When I read the news today (7/3) There was a New hardware posting saying: Asus' own Beta drivers for Windows 2000 Glasses OK. TV Out OK. Still NO support for Video IN. I can personaly not enable my tv-out on my card!.

Hey folks, I'd like to d/l LiveWare for Win2K, but the link provided in the compatibility list doesn't work. I went ahead and searched Dell's site for the drivers, but they were nowhere to be found. Does anyone have them? Is there a link somewhere else to get them? Thanks, DanE.

MS Precision pro force feedback joystick

I've recently installed Win2000 and while I have the MS force feedback joystick enabled, I do not the have the control panel to adjust forces as Win98 does. So it's either a case of using it with full forces (way too hard) or turning it off (not a good idea) Win2k doesn't allow me to install the downloaded drivers.

Hi guys I have just got my two 750E processors today. Now I jave to remove my old 450s. Will I have to do a system format because I have added a new CPU and NT ( Windows 2000 ) will operate correctly? I have heard people swapping CPUs with no problems, but Windows 2000 I am no so sure about.

So far the support from Diamond and Lexmark about win2k has sucked no updates they stoped answearing the phones and e-mail. I purchased a ati video card this weekend at least they give updated reports and beta driver till they get the full vertion of the drivers out.

Harkening back to Win98, under System devices, I recall an APM entry under there. I do not see it under Win2k, and am wondering if it is a coincidence that with that entry missing Win2k is not able to power off my computer with the software.

Powerdown after shutdown in Win2k Pro

Hi All, I am currently dual-booting Win98 SE with Win2k Pro and when I shutdown the PC in Win98, it powers off automatically, but not in Win2k. Does anyone know how I might be able to enable this feature in Win2k ? Thanks to all replies in advance.

Ok im new to nt but long time windows os user. I installed the drivers for my cl tnt2u and tryed to run a screen saver but the system rebooted so i truned down hardware acceleration half way and now it works.

Win2k w/ Com Ports Don't Work!

I have a dual boot w/ win98 and win2k. While waiting for my usb modem drivers to come out from BestData I thought I use my normal usr 56k in win2k. To find out, com port 1 and com port 2 do not work, they have a (!) symbol by them.

'Turn off hard disk' on Power Options doesn't work !

In 'Power Options Properties' I have set the hard disk to turn off after 30 mins. After 30 mins the hard disk is not turned off. Even after a whole night of idling the hard disk is still running. Any ideas ? Windows 2000 Pro build 2195 Hard disk: IBM DPTA 372050 Motherboard: Abit BH6.
