3.69 and 3.75 Drivers Lock

For some reason, if I use either the 3. 69 or the 3. 75 drivers, I get random lockups just sitting at the desktop. I can use 3. 66 all night long and it will never ever lock. Is anyone else having these problems and if so, how'd you fix it? BTW, my specs are: AMD Athlon 650 Gigabyte 7IX 160 MB RAM Riva TNT2 Ultra ( ...

Direct3D with Viper V550 and win2k

I read on the compatibility list here that Viper V550 supports Direct3D ONLY with the reference drivers for Riva TNT from NVIDIA. I found working drivers for win2k at Diamond's and NVIDIA sites, but NOT one of them supports neither Direct3D nor AGP.

Problem with Voodoo1 drivers

I have Orchid Righteous 3dfx voodoo1 -card. Yep, I know it's old, but I'll still want to use it for a awhile. Those nt5-drivers just don't work, I don't know why? I can see from device Manager that there is a 3d-card with those drivers, but the computer still uses other crappy 2mb 2-d graphics card.

Problems with new V3 win2k beta drivers...

The problem I have with win2k final is that randomly, after a long interval of time, maybe 2-3 days of the computer running, my screen gets GARBLED completely. Rainbow colors fill the screen! This is after I installed the beta win2k v3 drivers.

it doesnt work w2k reports that the s3 driver are not working. under w98 it runs fine. my config: abit bp6 elsa erazor iii video s3 virge/vx pci any working config out there?.

Has anyone got opengl drivers that work in W2k for Quake3? I have tried the NT4. 0 ones but get an error that throws me to the desktop when Quake loads. .

No Sound on an OPTi 82c931 (ISA) or Labway A411

I had a Labway A411-G70 Xwave 3000 128-bit PCI, but win 2k said that it wasn't compatible so I tried Labway's NT 4 drivers and those didn't work so I got my friend's soundcard, an OPTi 82c931 chip based domething or other soundcard.

now that ive got your attention, the hardware that is currently not compatible, will they ever be compatible? do the drivers affect compatibility more than the hardware itself. sorry for misleading topic, but noone answered in my previous post.

False Claims of compatability

Pardon my Rant, but this really steams my rice, I have been one of those who been an early bird in running all of the beta's and RC's of Windows 2000 Pro. With this comes a certain amount of responsibility for incompatabilites in hardware and apps, I have no problem with this and understand it fully.

ok i got the drivers now but it doesn't install properly it comes up with the scanner is not connected sort of thing i have tried enabling the usb port thing but i can't get it to work this is the same problem i had with my old mustek (6000p) scanner which got me to get this one any help?? thanks
